We are thrilled to release more details about the ZTX Token ($ZTX) and its launch plans.

The last quarter of 2023 is shaping up to be an exciting one at ZTX. We recently announced our plans for Playtest #2 which is just around the corner and will be open to the public. With the upcoming launch of $ZTX, an integral part of the ZTX ecosystem, we take one step closer to our official Beta Launch.

Token Launch

As a key part of the ZTX ecosystem, the token launch will help get $ZTX into the hands of community members before the Beta Launch.

On the token launch date, eligible wallets will receive their $ZTX tokens and multiple exchanges will start to support $ZTX trading pairs. The exchanges will be announced closer to the date.

So, what exactly is the $ZTX token? We’re glad you asked…

The ZTX Token

$ZTX will encompass a wide range of utility due to the opportunities and experiences offered by ZTX. This section will focus on providing an overview of what the ZTX token powers. If you’d like a full breakdown, please head over to our newly published ZTX Gitbook to learn more about the token and all that ZTX has to offer.

Utility

$ZTX serves has 3 primary utility categories:

Governance — $ZTX will empower distributed decision-making within ZTX at the World level. Token holders can propose and vote on topics such as how to use the community treasury and other parameters.
Purchasing — ZTX will have a constant release of new in-game assets, such as wearables or home decorations. The $ZTX token can be used to purchase them. Additionally, $ZTX will be the primary quote currency on ZTX-built secondary marketplaces, where players will be able to sell their assets as well.
Gameplay — $ZTX can be used to boost one’s progress throughout the game. For example, players will be able to spend $ZTX to speed up or even skip certain requirements associated with aspects of the gameplay, such as harvesting times.

Token Buyback Program

In addition to those 3 core utility categories, ZTX will also utilize a token buyback program.

The program, which is 100% funded by platform revenue, will consist of repurchasing $ZTX on the open market and driving value back to the ZTX ecosystem through one of the below activities:

Burn — a portion of the $ZTX will be burned forever, reducing the total supply of $ZTX.
Incentive Pool — a portion of the $ZTX will be allocated to rewards for players.
Treasury — a portion of the $ZTX will be used to fund the Treasury

Supply, Distribution, and Vesting

$ZTX’s total supply will be fixed at 10,000,000,000.

Each distribution bucket has its own lock-up and vesting period. Or none, in the case of the airdrop receivers. Below is the vesting schedule for each of the distribution categories:

Genesis Airdrop (Alpha Alert)

Community is at the centre of everything we build. As such, one of the most important aspects of the token launch is the Genesis Airdrop to community members.

The Genesis Airdrop will make up 4.00% of the $ZTX distribution

Over the past months, we have been hinting on blogs and threads, in Discord and on Spaces about how to qualify for the Airdrop. The best way to increase your chances of receiving the Genesis Airdrop is by participating in ongoing ZTX initiatives and the existing ecosystem.

While we won’t explicitly share what activities are incentivized, what we can share is that the upcoming PLAYTEST #2 (Public) has an airdrop allocation.
