How to subscribe to notifications of new z/VSE Blog posts
Currently you have the following options to subscribe to receive notifications of new posts in the z/VSE Blog:
- RSS feed of Jens’ z/VSE Blog
- RSS feed of the z/VSE topic group (Blog and Discussions)
- Daily e-mail digest of the z/VSE topic group (Blog and Discussions)
- Real time e-mail notification of the z/VSE topic group (Discussions only; Blog via discussion thread)

You can subscribe to only my blog posts using a feed reader of your choice. See my article How to subscribe to Jens’ z/VSE Blog via RSS for a detailed step-by-step instruction.
RSS feed of the z/VSE topic group
You can subscribe to the z/VSE topic group using a feed reader of your choice. The RSS feed includes references to both new blog posts as well as new discussion threads and replies.
Simply click on the “RSS” link next to the heading and choose whether you want to subscribe to “All content” (equivalent to this group and related) or just “Community content” (equivalent to this group). You then add the respective RSS URL to your feed reader. This actually works the same for any other community, user group, or topic group in IBM Community.
Following are the URLs of the two RSS feeds of the z/VSE topic group that you can copy and paste to your feed reader:
- All content: https://www.ibm.com/community/z/ibmz/os/zvse/subscribe/all/
- Community content: https://www.ibm.com/community/z/ibmz/os/zvse/subscribe/community/
Daily e-mail digest of the z/VSE topic group (Blog and Discussions)
You can subscribe to receive daily digest e-mails of the z/VSE topic group. The daily digest e-mail includes references to both new blog posts as well as new discussion threads and replies.
You need to login or register with your IBMid to IBM Community and then become member of the z/VSE topic group. Then simply click on the gear icon in the top right and select “Daily Digest” under “Email Notifications”. This actually works the same for any other community, user group, or topic group in IBM Community.
Real time e-mail notification of the z/VSE topic group (Discussions only; Blog via discussion thread)
You can subscribe to receive real time e-mail notifications from the z/VSE topic group. Note that real time notifications are currently only provided for new discussion threads and replies, but not for new blog posts. As workaround I will post a reply to the discussion thread Notification of new z/VSE Blog post whenever I post a new blog article. This should then trigger a real time e-mail notification.
You need to login or register with your IBMid to IBM Community and then become member of the z/VSE topic group. Then simply click on the gear icon in the top right and select “Real Time” under “Email Notifications”. This actually works the same for any other community, user group, or topic group in IBM Community.
