Day 29
Yay! We’re done. Right? The challenge is over. So the game is ready, right? Sadly not. The game is not done just yet. I won a Snickers which Dennis still has to hand out. Keeping you posted.
Anyways. He still needs a few more days. But he plans to finish it real soon. In the meantime he finished the first Act of the fourth Stage. Still a few Acts to be done. Plus one full Stage. And a Bonus Stage. But we’re getting there.
Day 30
Finally updated the Screenshots on Steam. Next on: Creating a first Trailer for the game and announcing it to the press finally. Dennis tweaked the SAGE Demo in the evening and worked on the Switch port.
Rest of the week
Well. The game was not finished in 30 days. Development continues. With a few breaks. Dennis can finally take some. But also he finished the Demo for the SAGE 2021 (Visit the Page). During the week the Wishlist for Eversleep grew to slightly over 1000. On the weekend it climbed up to nearly 1100. SAGE is running all week and we hope to get some views on the game via Youtube and Twitch Streamers.
On the weekend Dennis also started implementing a character from another game (Toree 3D) as the developer is a friend of him and doing some cross-promo with other games is always an effective way to get some additional visibility.
We’re not 100% sure how many more days will be needed to finish the production of Eversleep. But 30 days brought us quite far. Also from the marketing perspective we generated already some attention. The Medium articles so far got read around 10k times. Steam visits we’ll share during the next week. But also the reception on Social Media has been pretty impressive already.
