Understanding a Life Code #8:
Unlocking Your Career, Love & Enlightenment
We are all souls having a human experience. We chose our parents, birthdate, and physical appearances, amongst many other things, which allow us to experience the life lessons we all must go through while here on planet Earth(aka Earth School).
Life is extremely difficult for many, and without the proper perspective it’s challenging to accept the fact we chose this difficult life for a specific reason. For me, learning & understanding about Numerology & Life Codes helped me comprehend how my agonizing childhood was a blessing in disguise, and how I can play a much bigger role throughout the Universe than I could have ever imagined.
The instant you are born your “life destiny” begins, and at this moment you are assigned a special code which holds the key to who you are and your unique fate. We all have a Life Code. What number are you?
For me, Life Codes were the key that opened the secret entrance into my inner kingdom I never knew existed. An inner kingdom I’d been standing outside of in the pouring rain for hours waiting on someone to come along and save me from my self-inflicted misery. For the purpose of this article I’m going to focus on Life Code #8s, but take a look at other articles to learn more about yourself and/or others.

Life Code #8 — The Intellect
The Life Code #8, when using the Tree of Life map, means you are learning the merits of the intellect from the higher frequencies. You are learning the frequency of the ’higher self’ and the highest aspects of consciousness.
You will have encountered your fair share of having to deal with other people’s challenges and you will have endured a lack of imagination in finding a way to solve them. Panic may have been your theme in the past, but it is often the case that a Life Code #8 will find problems that have solved themselves without much intervention. You like your emotional needs to be taken care of and ponder little on the true worries of your world, preferring to leave that to other people. You do worry about trivial matters until you get bored with it to the point of forgetting what the original worry was all about.
As a Life Code #8, you have the ability to be very prosperous and powerful but you may seek to leave that energy alone in your lifetime. Remember that ultimately this was your choice and be careful not to blame others. You are perceptive and understand human nature and, therefore, have great empathy with those less fortunate. You always root for the underdog.
Material things are certainly within your grasp and are yours without much effort. Although you will enjoy them less if you acquire them without the feeling of achievement. As you are the path of the intellect, imagination is not your strong point; your life lessons involve the development of a degree of efficiency within all that you do. Abundance will come very easy for Life Code #8s, but you’ll need to get out of your own way(head) to receive it more consistently.
Life Code #8 & Love:
When it comes to love, a Life Code #8 is a powerful & focused energy. You tend to be a better judge of character and attract the right kind of people toward your vision of what love & family look like to you. You have a need for success, and a strong desire to be recognized for your achievements. This leads you to not feel “safe” unless you have found a way to establish financial security, and because you are more likely to consider status important, you may be tempted to live above your means. You should also pay special attention to telling and showing your loved ones that you care — being a good provider isn’t the only way of doing this.
Below are my thoughts around Life Code #8s energy when paired with all of the other Life Codes. Be mindful of the power of free-will we all have, which can positively or negatively overtake any relationship, romantic and/or platonic, with enough determination and collaboration.
Life Code #8 & #1: Most Life Code #1 & #8s will instantly be attracted to each other. Both are assertive and domineering, which when combining energy forces creates a power-couple like force with abilities to manifest anything either desires. However, if not energetically aligned, these two energies can also smother each other and not provide enough space for both to thrive.
Life Code #8 & #2: One of the more compatible combinations amongst Life Codes because of the emotional depth and support from the Life Code #2 combined with the ‘provider’ energy of the Life Code #8. This relationship is often seen as the classic traditional family model, where the (female) Life Code #2 takes care of the family, and the (male) Life Code #8 takes care of the financial needs … or in the case of the classic male/female role reversal, it’ll still work out very nicely.
Life Code #8 & #3: An unlikely partnership. The creative and playful character of the Life Code #3 energy is unlikely to be understood by the driven and materially-focused Life Code #8, so it’s unlikely that either number will thrive. In some cases, each partner can balance the strengths and weaknesses of the other, but much effort and understanding is required for it to work long term.
Life Code #8 & #4: These two hard-working Life Code energies are very compatible. Both energies are willing and able to plan long-term, which offers a great deal of comfort and reassurance, especially for a Life Code #4, and allows the Life Code #8 to relax and enjoy each moment. It’s likely that practical matters will be equally shared within the relationship, and both energies will feel they are being fairly treated.
Life Code #8 & #5: Most Life Code # 8s need structure and long-term commitment, but the energy of a Life Code #5 is often unwilling to be restrained in this way. So, despite an inherent dynamism, it is unlikely these two energies will be able to partner effectively. In cases where their love is strong, with enough work and understanding, both partners may reach incredible heights together. Anything is possible if you’re willing to put in the work!
Life Code #8 & #6: Both Life Code #6 & #8 energies are focused and reliable, so it’s likely that the two will last if both remain committed. The risks come when the focus of their attention falls on different things, which typically manifests into most Life Code #6s put all of his/her attention on the family, whilst the Life Code #8 has probably turned into a 24/7 workaholic. Compromise where needed or expect a disaster.
Life Code #8 & #7: Super-smart energy combinations, which could absolutely work under most circumstances. A Life Code #7 energy typically takes a more chill & cautious approach to most things, while a Life Code #8 can be quite obsessive and controlling. In most situations a Life Code #7 & #8 are usually highly complementary of each other and relationships typically are solid.
Life Code #8 & #8: This is an excellent and prosperous combination of Life Code energies. Success, abundance, and a deep understanding of each other’s drive to be ultra-successful will allow this duo to turn anything & everything they touch turn to gold. Regardless of the type of relationship, two Life Code #8s paired-up have no limits as to what he/she can manifest individually and/or together. A big risk is overindulging & burnout, which manifests as a workaholic, so be mindful not to neglect the relationship on your quest for world domination.
Life Code #8 & #9: The Life Code #9 energy has a strong humanitarian side associated with it in business matters, while the Life Code #8 energy is primarily focused on money, power and growth at all costs, which obviously is not ideal. However, if they ever do get aligned they’ll compliment each other very well. Both the Life Code #8 & # 9 are strong, determined and ambitious energies, so anything is possible with these two. I dated a Life Code #8 for a few months, and it absolutely could have worked out for the longterm, but I didn’t want to risk my careers for a relationship, so it fizzled out relatively quickly. We did have a few moments as a “power-couple” that unequivocally turned heads everywhere we went.
Life Code #8 Career:
As a Life Code #8 you’re a part of the “holding vibration” on the Tree of Life, which shows itself in your ideal career that requires much thought before taking action/making a decision. Most Life Code #8s are very practical, enjoy planning, and prefer to stay within a career for longterm vs hopping around year after year. You like consistency & safety in regards to a career choice, so when considering options for a career change it’s best for a Life Code #8 to understand the direction & future forecasts of the organization prior to making a decision.
Organization that have a strong foundation & reputation are most attractive for Life Code #8 energy, and the majority of my #8 friends currently work for the Top Fortune 500 companies. Career development and a company culture invested in a healthy “hire from within” environment are more suitable than a start-up company culture for a Life Code #8, and many will not perform well if he/she believes their job security is a risk and/or the business is operating year-to-year based on short-term vision from leadership. Same goes for unreliable managers and/or the leadership hierarchy a Life Code #8 has to deal with. Simply put, Life Code #8 perform best in a career that’s safe, steady, reliable, consistent, predictable & drama-free. Why???
Life Code #8 have a superpower that allows them to operate, manage and oversee the entire business operation with minimal disruption & maximum efficiency. You are exceptional at processes, flow-charts, end-to-end strategies and critical quality control methods involving operational details & robust complexities. I have yet to meet a Life Code #8 who doesn’t love spreadsheets, gantt charts, swimlane diagrams and/or Tableau.
Practicality and methodical skills are highly regarded as a Life Code #8, and you work best when you’re left alone but with a strong understanding of the desired outcome in mind. You prefer to be in control of the timing of projects and/or prefer to work at your own pace to figure projects out instead of being told what to do, how to do it and when it needs to get done. All Life Code #8s are very intelligent, resourceful, self-manageable and don’t need to be micromanaged in his/her career or it’ll go sideways in a hurry.
Think finance, business operations, project managers, accounting, construction and/or CEOs in regards to a career for most Life Code #8s and/or anything that requires a lot of thought & insight for complex industries/businesses.
When a Life Code #8 is unbalanced or is stuck in his/her head, you become extremely firm & inflexible based on your planning and attachment to the outcome you desire(vs what the Universe desires). I like to visualize a tree stump when I encounter a Life Code #8 stuck in his/her ways, and/or just how un-moveable they become when not in balance with their True-Self, which can be quite often for some. Most, if not all Life Code #8s won’t recognize their stubbornness in the workplace, and will defend his/her position on each matter with facts & practicality…
Obviously this only perpetuates their stubbornness & inflexibility perception from others, so be open-minded & aware of how you are communicating with others and how you are coming across to the more junior and/or younger generation within the workplace.
Life Code #8 & Enlightenment:
According to Buddhist belief, enlightenment is ‘the experience of true reality, an “awakening” through which one could comprehend the true nature of things marked by the absence of desire and/or suffering.
So, what is the absence of desire and/or suffering for a Life Code #8?
Answer: The honoring of feelings and your practicality, which is the opposite of what a Life Code #7 is tasked with(due to the 27th pathway on the Tree of Life).
Life Code #8s are extremely practical, but will get easily agitated & angry when he/she cannot feel properly. You’ll become angry at being frustrated, which is a completely different emotional state than angry & frustrated. You must be able to get out of your head and into your body where you can feel your emotions & have autonomy over the impact they are having on your decision making abilities.
A life Code #8 when unbalanced will allow a buildup of emotions within their internal world, which consists primarily from agitation of others, and will manifest itself as a Life Code #8 becoming very reactionary when dealing with other people. Edgy, spiteful & sharp responses are not how #8s prefer to make decisions, and same goes when he/she doesn’t allow themselves the spiritual routine & hygiene to release any stored emotions they’re carrying around from earlier within the week.
If a Life Code #8 is unbalanced too long, the pain of rejection of others will quickly set in, which is followed by self-doubt and then the inevitable self-sabotage & self-deprecation. Unfortunately this is extremely common for all Life Code #8s when they’re not mixing their practicality & emotions together quite regularly. You must allow yourself to FEEL!
So how do you reach a place where you can feel from the heart & think from a practical sense?
Answer: You need to notice your triggers and areas of frustration while & before they happen. Your triggers & areas of irritation are your access point to the root cause of your emotional unbalance. Life Code #8s are very smart, but you must be curious about what & where your frustration stems from while in the moment, or the moment will slip by and your frustration will continue to go unnoticed.
When you begin to feel frustrated, switch your mindset from a fixed-mindset(practicality) into a curious mindset. You can’t be frustrated & curious simultaneously, so this will work every time you try it. When you’re curious, just ask yourself what’s starting to irritate you and what’s behind the frustrating feeling that’s about to follow. When you do this, remember to pause & stop thinking about how you can control the situation and/or information you are seeking. That’s your practical mind trying to weasel its way back in, but don’t allow it.
Stay curious and feel it in your body.
