Unlocking Your Career, Love & Enlightenment:
Understanding a Life Code #4
The instant you are born your “life destiny” begins, and at this moment you are assigned a special code which holds the key to who you are and your unique fate.
We all have a Life Code. What number are you?
The Life Codes and Tree of Life mix can be quite an involved process. They can give deep insight into your life and some of the answers you’re looking for, whether that be about your working life or relationship dynamics. For me, Life Codes were the key that opened the secret entrance into my inner kingdom I never knew existed. An inner kingdom I’d been standing outside of in the pouring rain for hours waiting on someone to come along and save me from my self-inflicted misery.
For the purpose of this article I’m going to focus on Life Code #4s, but take a look at other articles to learn more about yourself and/or others.

Life Code #4 — Abundance
A Life Code #4 means you are not one of life’s fleeting energies. You are a strong, solid foundation, and have the natural capacity for abundance & abundant thinking if you set your mind to it. Everything you build has a firm, logical and lasting foundation. You are a calm and stable energy that holds itself together at times when all around you might be falling apart.
Most Life Code #4s when unbalanced and/or not grounded, can get bogged down in the micro-details and can lose sight of the big picture. You can be extremely stubborn and jealous if pushed into a corner, and once you’re there, it’s even harder to pull yourself out.
My daughter is a Life Code #4, who is super-chill, ambitious, dependable, loyal and ready to take on anything you throw her way. Most Life Code #4s are not one for wandering, you stay-put once you’ve decided where you want to be.
As a Life Code #4, it means you like to work steadily towards your goal with step by step thinking and planning on the way. Once attained, you’ll then address a new goal moving forward methodically and practically. Always working and always building, you have a sound capacity for patience and are very well prepared.
Life Code #4 & Love:
In relationships, Life Code #4s are honest, loyal, dependable & committed, which is also what they’ll be looking for from a partner. Trust and fidelity are vital to them and it’s important Life Code #4s find someone who shares their spiritual perspectives and values. Similar with their career, a Life Code #4 will not waste their time with someone they’re not compatible with, but when they find that special someone, they work hard to make the relationship successful and are in it for the long haul. Though a relationship with a Life Code #4 won’t be the most exciting one, it is sure to be stable and chill.
If unbalanced, it’s hard for a Life Code #4 to be a ‘team player’ in both romantic and/or platonic relationships because they can become inflexible & rigid if he/she doesn’t practice regular self-care. Life Code #4s are extremely confident to a fault, always thinking it’s right and never allowing itself to be swayed. This assuredness makes sense in some situations, but when it comes to give-and-take and working together, most Life Code #4s have a lot to learn.
Below are my thoughts around Life Code #4s energy when paired with all of the other Life Codes. Be mindful of the power of free-will we all have, which can positively or negatively overtake any relationship, romantic and/or platonic, with enough determination and collaboration.
Life Code #4 & #1: Both Life Code #1 & #4s have a difficult time expressing his/her feelings. In addition, a Life Code #1 takes too many risks in life for a Life Code #4 who loves security & predictability. So, the depth of this connection is unlikely to run particularly deep, and is more likely both will frustrate each other if in a romantic relationship. Probably not a perfect match.
Life Code #4 & #2: The Life Code #2 seeks a loving commitment and the Life Code #4 will naturally need to create a stable environment, so much happiness & fulfillment can be found in these two energies together. If love strikes, this partnership will become serious very quickly. The Life Code #4’s grounded & practical perspective complements most Life Code #2s sensitive and intuitive side, bringing a healthy balance to the relationship.
Life Code #4 & #3: Life Code #3s are spontaneous and care-free, but Life Code #4s need balance and planning, so these two energies will frequently run into issues. The sociable and flirtatious nature of Life Code #3 is also likely to trigger jealousy and possessiveness in the Life Code 4, resulting in controlling behavior. Could work, but you’ll need to seriously understand each other’s differences.
Life Code #4 & #4: These two Life Code energies are very compatible because they share the same values and goals in life. Both understand and respect each other’s desire for stability and order, and will work hard for this same end. There is some tendency to lock horns, and there’s danger that neither partner will be encouraged to take risks or do anything spontaneous, which may limit opportunities for growth and experience.
Life Code #4 & #5: These two energies display vastly different temperaments that make compatibility highly unlikely. The Life Code #4 energy seeks stability and long-term commitment, but Life Code #5s need plenty of space to fly free. Neither energy is likely to be able to offer what the other needs to feel truly fulfilled, and the Life Code #5 risks feeling stifled, whilst the Life Code #4 very anxious and unsettled. Proceed with caution.
Life Code #4 & #6: This is a solid and practical pairing of these two energies, with serious potential to find domestic bliss together. Both the Life Code #4 & #6 are grounded, reliable and organized so a relationship will likely be built on mutual trust and similar values, rather than passion and romance. Making an extra effort to inject a little excitement into the relationship by the Life Code #4 would yield high returns, as it may otherwise become too comfortable, very quickly.
Life Code #4 & #7: Both the Life Code #4 & #7 have practical & intellectual qualities that compliment each other, which absolutely could make this a great pairing. However, if either energies are unwilling to express his/her feelings & emotions the risk of a long-term relationship is in jeopardy. So, this should be a focus if both the Life Code energies are wanting to commit long-term. If not, then go have some fun!
Life Code #4 & #8: These two hard-working Life Code energies are very compatible. Both energies are willing and able to plan long-term, which offers a great deal of comfort and reassurance, especially for a Life Code #4, and allows the Life Code #8 to relax and enjoy each moment. It’s likely that practical matters will be equally shared within the relationship, and both energies will feel they are being fairly treated.
Life Code #4 & #9: The grounded, practical qualities of the Life Code #4 energy can be attractive, and beneficial to a Life Code # 9, who has a tendency to be unfocused. The relaxed openness of the Life Code #9 can inspire any Life Code #4 to release his/her grip on life, and flow a little more easily. The potential for a deep relationship is minimal at best, but anything is possible if both energies work hard enough.
Life Code #4 Career:
What’s really important to understand about a Life Code #4, is the placement of the #4 energy within the Tree of Life. The Life Code #4 energy sits in the center of the ‘Love Energy’, which doesn’t allow them to fake or disguise their true feelings about a career/job. It’s either “100% YES, or 100% NO”, and rarely any room for indecisiveness. Your career choice will only ever work out if you absolutely love it and have a passion for it. Otherwise, you’ll bounce around until you find your passion, or are forced to settle, which will inevitably end in you leaving much sooner than planned.
Life Code #4s are often seen as the builders of our western society. Life Code #4s are more determined, serious, practical, disciplined, and hard-working when it involves his/her career and/or livelihood. When I hear the phrase “blue collar worker”, it reminds me of the Life Code #4 energy in regards to the passionate-attitude and a mentality aligned with a purposeful-confidence & drive of this powerful vibration.
Down-to-earth, stable, grounded and salt-of-the-earth are terms I’ve heard most often used to describe Life Code #4s. You find giving back to society and/or contributing to a much greater cause is very rewarding, and must be involved with a product or service you are passionate about in order for it to work out in the long-run. Many Life Code #4s are involved with charity work, volunteering, nonprofits and global humanitarian organizations once they’ve found his/her purpose in life. Life Code #4s also are notorious animal lovers and make excellent veterinarians VS a doctor caring for humans.
On the negative side, if a Life Code #4 feels unloved, un-appreciated and/or overlooked in the workplace, they must leave that organization as quickly as possible. Once the passion of a Life Code #4 is gone, which is very typical of Life Code #4s who have been with the same company and/or in the same position for a while, they’ll become stubborn, rigid or extremely uninterested.
If unbalanced, Life Code #4s have a tendency to let their true feelings be known to all those around them, which can sometimes turn other people away from them. Although practical and good planners, an ungrounded Life Code #4 can become too cautious and won’t deviate much from their master plan. This perpetuates the shadow-side of a Life Code #4 where he/she can’t relax, emotionally calm down and instantly blocks manifesting great ideas and transforming them into your physical reality.
Life Code #4 & Enlightenment:
According to Buddhist belief, enlightenment is ‘the experience of true reality, an “awakening” through which one could comprehend the true nature of things marked by the absence of desire and/or suffering.
So, what is the absence of desire and/or suffering for a Life Code #4?
Answer: The pursuit of unconditional love from the outer-world.
Life Code #4s seek unconditional love from the outside world from every angle of his/her life. Relationships, career, passion-projects and spirituality are the primary external modalities a Life Code #4 will focus on their pursuit of unconditional love.
Earlier I mentioned the Life Code #4 energy sits in the center of the ‘Love Energy’ on the Tree of Life, which plays a big role with their enlightenment as well. Life Code #4s organically distribute love without hesitation. They give love, but also expect love in return. As a bi-product of this, many Life Code #4s are never satisfied with any of the love returned back to him/her. This can lead to an unhealthy cycle of love & pain, places conditions on the type of love the Life Code #4 wants to receive, and contradicts his/her pursuit of unconditional love from the outer-world.
It’s a vicious cycle for all Life Code #4s if they’re unaware of any conditions placed on their relationship with love and how it shows-up in his/her external world. Enlightenment for a Life Code #4 will not be attainable if he/she is attaching conditions to love.
So how does a Life Code #4 stop attaching conditions to love from their outer-world?
It starts with loving themselves unconditionally first, and not valuing the love of other people over their own.
This will be very difficult for a Life Code #4.
Life Code #4s view unconditional self-love as narcissistic behavior and/or indulgent & unnecessary. It’s difficult for a Life Code #4 to truly love themselves without attaching judgment or unnecessary biases because of their experiences with love. This also impacts the ability of a Life Code #4 to live life in the present without the conditions of the past.
How can a Life Code #4 start on the path of unconditional self-love?
By identifying & neutralizing the stored pain you’ve experienced with love.
Sit in a quiet space and reflect on your most painful experiences with love. Try to observe the experience without judgment and avoid trying to recreate the experience all over again. What do you see now that wasn’t there before? What are the primary conditions associated with that experience you’re able to identify?
Happiness for a Life Code #4 happens where there is no judgment from the past, which allows you the freedom & relaxation to live in the present moment without the fear of others. Look to your past as a starting point to heal your future, and happiness & enlightenment will soon follow.
