Ready to start an adventure in the strategy blockchain game Ether Dungeon? Here’s all you need to know in order to get started:
Heroes in Ether Dungeon is collectible ERC721 tokens just like CryptoKitties. Each hero begins as Novice rank with no equipment and 12 power, which will become more powerful in the journey. To get started, each player would need to recruit a novice hero (cost 0.002ETH) in order to begin their the adventure!
There are 3 main ways to earn ETH in Ether Dungeon, 1. As a Dungeon Challenger, 2. As a Hero Trainer, 3. As a Dungeon Master:
1. As a Dungeon Challenger
If your hero power is larger than the dungeon difficulty, you can challenge the dungeon by clicking the “Challenge” button, and get a portion (45%) of the Accumulated Dungeon Rewards, while the remaining amount goes to next floor and dungeon master.
The difficulty of a dungeon increases over time, and there are 3 ways to increase hero power, 1. Hero Training, 2. Equipment Forging, 3. Transforming into Superhero:
- The basic way to increase hero power is to perform Hero Training by clicking the “Train” button (cost 0.002ETH in Abyss), the training fee will be added to the Accumulated Dungeon Rewards. During a training, your hero attributes (all equipments and stats) will be randomly rolled, if the resulting power is higher than the original power, that training is successful. There are multiple ways to estimate the success rate of a training, the in-game Appraisal Helper is the most effective way.
- Equipment Forging is an advanced way of upgrading a specific equipment.
- Collecting a full set of equipments with the same theme will transform the character into Superhero and have an extra power boost.
2. As a Hero Trainer
Typically the higher the hero power, the higher the rewards it generates, and the more valuable it is. Advanced players can profit by selling heroes in the ED marketplace, with carefully planned hero training strategies.
3. As a Dungeon Master
Owning a dungeon / becoming a Dungeon Master, provides you a long term revenue stream for every successful challenges that take place in your dungeon (8% master rewards). There are 2 ways to own a dungeon and become Dungeon Master, 1. Winning an Investiture Events; 2. Buying from the ED Marketplace:
- Investiture events will be held occasionally, usually during major holidays, and winners will be rewarded with mini-dungeons for free.
- Dungeons in Ether Dungeon are collectible ERC721 tokens just like heroes, which can be traded in the ED Marketplace.
