We’ve talked about the Paragon Experience Platform, discovery engine, and the collection, but let’s talk about what draws it all together — the XP.
XP is eXperience Points, a measure of the activity taken within the Platform, the Game, and the Community. You earn it from doing almost anything, and it leads to rewards, benefits, leaderboards and more…
The Platform:
List, buy, rent, lend, claim, share, even SHOW-UP daily and you can earn XP. You can earn rewards whether you transact on the platform or not.
This is an important point: Paragon is a place to transact, sure– but it’s also a place to discover new NFT experiences, discuss the latest, plan the next move, and connect. You’ll earn XP for much of it as we evolve the system.
The Game:
Life is an RPG. The Find The Paragon game experience is straightforward, but quite deep. You’ll “send” NFTs off to quest and find loot, and each time they do, they’ll earn XP.
The kicker is you can send any NFT from a verified collection. So if your Doodle or Akumu or Bean is laying around, use them here to get XP (or, of course, you can use them on the platform to rent, sell, etc).
The point is– play the game, get the XP (along with a bunch of reward/prize insanity).
The Community:
We’re focusing rewards around what Paragon is focused on– NFT Experiences. That starts with NFTs and finishes with the experiences that they unlock.
In practical terms, there will be 3 ways to earn rewards from the accumulation of XP:
1- Competition: The leaderboards for the Paragon platform will keep users up-to-date on where they are throughout any given Season. At designated times, rewards will be be distributed to groups of people on that Leaderboard, and will include all sorts of goodness from famous NFTs to Mid-tiers to Paragon NFTs and other loot.
2- Achievements: User won’t just compete against each other, they’ll also just straight-up EARN. There will be XP thresholds that are visible to everyone, showing users how much XP they need to earn Paragon rewards outright. It’s all about thresholds.
And when you achieve said thresholds, you keep them.
3- The Shop: There will be a cooler name for it (maybe Shoppe, right?) for using Element, the in-game currency earned from the Find The Paragon game experience. You can use that Element to purchase things like
- In-game collectibles
- Raffle tickets for NFT prizes
- Chests with all sorts of good things inside. Some of it is XP.
There will be lots of ways to earn and win rewards via XP, and leaderboards, thresholds and the Shop will appear over time after Open Beta of the platform. 2 things to remember as we roll out in the coming days:
- We’re tracking community activity NOW. Your activity in Discord (and your level associated there) will earn you levels of XP as the system rolls out. So get involved now: discord.gg/theparagon
- When we mint the Seekers collection in the coming days, the first way to earn XP on the platform will be to hit the Seek button on the site as often as you’re allowed. You’ll start getting XP right away.
As we move from our Closed Beta (signup to be in it here) to Open Beta and ultimately launch, you’ll be earning XP in more and more ways. And just like your favorite RPG, leveling up comes with more and more to explore, find and use NFTs.
It’s time to shift the focus from the selling to the having. And having means using. XP is coming and will be very useful…
