Buying Gimmer Tokens during the Token Sale and storing GMR
01 How to purchase Gimmer Tokens?
This first part of the guide shows you the step-by-step instructions to purchase Gimmer Tokens (GMR) along with successfully participating in the Gimmer Token Sale.
01.1 Purchasing the Gimmer Tokens
On the 1 February, navigate to the Gimmer Token Sale website. You will see a button highlighted in green, “Buy GMR Tokens now”, you can click on it to purchase GMR.
01.2 Excluded countries
After clicking on “Buy GMR Tokens now”, the popup window will ask you to confirm that you are not a citizen or a resident of the United States, China or South Korea. Unfortunately, due to the strict regulation in the country, citizens or residents of these countries can not participate in our Token Sale.
01.3 Registering Your Account
If you have already registered an account use the ‘sign in’ button on the bottom of this form. If you are a new user, enter your details and just type in your email address and password (if you joined the whitelist, please use the same details here for the registration). Confirm you are not a robot, then click Sign Up to continue.
If you already have an account, you can sign in using the button on the bottom of the form.
01.4 Purchasing GMR
STEP 1 — Set amount
First of all, before purchasing Gimmer Tokens, you should have an ERC20 wallet where the Gimmer Tokens will be distributed after the Token Sale. Please be sure that you have the private keys for the wallet! Do not use an exchange wallet (e.g. Bitfinex, Kraken, Poloniex, etc.) for the Gimmer Token Sale otherwise you’ll lose your Tokens!
To purchase Gimmer Tokens, you should first set the amount of Ether (ETH) you would like to contribute. The calculator will display how many Gimmer Tokens will you receive including any bonus tokens. Gimmer ONLY accepts ETH for purchasing GMR! To check out why, please navigate to our Medium post about this topic.
Please note that the minimum amount is 0.1ETH on public sale.
STEP 2 — Your ERC20 wallet
If you don’t have an ERC20 wallet yet, please select ‘No, Help me set one up’ then chose the respective wallet and we’ll help you to set up one. We have created a tutorial for for MetaMask which is linked at the end of this article.
Once you do have a ERC20 wallet set up click “Yes, I have an ERC20 wallet” and copy and past the wallet address on the input field. If the address is valid you’ll be allowed to continue by clicking the “confirm” button.
STEP 3 — KYC
Depending on the size of your contribution you may be requested to provide KYC information. You will need to provide proof of address, proof of identity and source of funds. Once the KYC is approved by our team you’ll your wallet address will be validated on the blockchain and will allow you to contribute to the Token Sale. You can not contribute over 14ETH without submitting your KYC documents.
01.5 Completing the Transaction
The website will show the smart contract address that you should transfer the ETHs to. Simply copy and paste this address into the recipients field in your wallet. Once you have made the transfer from your wallet, click on the green button “Payment Complete”. Once the payment is confirmed, you will automatically be sent the GMR tokens and your balance of GMRs will be shown on your personal Dashboard.
