How to Stake BTC and Receive ZBTC on Zearn: A Step-by-Step Tutorial
Welcome to this step-by-step tutorial on how to stake your Bitcoin (BTC) and receive ZBTC on Zearn.
What is ZBTC?
ZBTC is an omnichain yield-bearing Bitcoin asset that provides a passive income for idle BTC. Designed by Zearn and with DeFi composability at heart, ZBTC unlocks capital efficiency and liquidity of BTC, enabled by its seamless integration with various protocols across multiple blockchain ecosystems.
Preparations
You need to make sure that your BTC is on Bitlayer (Bitcoin Layer 2 network) before staking BTC on Zearn. There are two methods to fulfill this requirement. The first method is to bridge your BTC on the Bitcoin chain to Bitlayer via Bitlayer official bridge (cross-in tutorial). The second method is to use USDT (ERC20/TRC20) to purchase BTC directly from the Bitlayer website (Bitlayer’s quickest gas fee acquisition guide).
Let’s get started!
1. Visit https://btc.zearn.xyz/ .
2. Click “Connect Wallet” & Import ZBTC to your wallet.
3. After connecting your wallet, enter the amount of BTC you want to stake on Zearn. Please make sure to check if your BTC balance meets the following requirements: (1) The minimum staking amount is 0.00000001 BTC. (2) Sufficient balance to pay gas fee.
4. Submit the stake request & confirm the transaction in your wallet.

5. Stake successful!
