I Studied Programming And English. Week 10 Report.
Every time I take a new online course, I feel like I’m sitting in a casino at a one-armed bandit, spinning spins and placing bets. Will this information be worth my time and money this time? Place a bet?
I willingly play this game, digging through streams of crap information and dodging banners from famous schools, because I know that sooner or later I will come across a diamond that will be worth all the money and time spent.
Last week I finished my Docker course from Bogdan Stashchuk on Udemy and immediately bought and took another one on Git. I’ve never met a more talented instructor, with his drawings and schemes he lays it out like a godsend, perfect for a dumbass like me.
The good news is that he has so many more courses I need. The bad news is that they are in English. Well, I started to learn English for a reason, it would be another incentive to learn it quickly.
These 2 courses cost me only 30$. Once again I get convinced that the best information is usually worth the money, but not much. Expensive courses are guaranteed to be crap. As an advertiser, I know that the cost of the course for 100k includes a minimum of 40% advertising.
