Art of War: Legions — How to Pick a Hero

In Art of War: Legions, a mobile strategy game from Fastone Games, a strong hero is key. But which hero is the strongest, and which one should you choose? There are a lot of things to consider.

Which heroes are strongest? The coolest looking heroes in the game aren’t necessarily the most effective ones. Beowulf’s sword swing looks cool, and Mephisto looks ominous, but don’t expect to podium with either of those choices. So, how can you know who is a good choice? It tends to be Women reigning supreme in AOW with Seondeok, Selene, Aly, and Chione being among the strongest and most used heroes. Check this hero grades list to see which heroes to buy into and which ones to steer clear of.

He’s pretty. But, that’s about it.

Are you FTP or PTW? There are three heroes with shards that can only be purchased: Zeus, Ivan, and Arthur. Zeus is available sometimes in the Rise of Heroes area for $10 a shard or 12 shards for $100, bringing the cost to build to level 15 up to $1,000. Arthur and Ivan are both available in King’s Coronation. One $2, $5, and $10 shard option are available each day, with a total of $510 over a month to build a level 15. This is the most cost efficient legendary package to buy. If you build slowly over a four month period, you could have a Lv 15 legendary hero for $240. The best option of the three is Arthur, as he contributes not only in arena but also Hero Trials, Infinity Wars, and Honour Hunting. Zeus and Ivan are powerful, but can take a long time to build an effective army around. Ivan is probably the weakest of the three PTW options.

With the right formation, Arthur can help you win quickly.

If you’re going for a FTP option, you’ll have to wait for them to come up on a Wheel of Fortune or Card Master event. Most heroes can be built over the course of 7–10 months with gem saving and good luck.

How Available is the hero you want?

If you’re going for a Selene, you’ll likely have to wait for awhile. Chione, Aly and Selene pop up in events on average once every 8 weeks. Davison, on the other hand is available twice as often, with an average of 28 days between events. (These estimations are based on current event data and can change.) It might be a good idea to pick a more common hero, like Seon, and a rarer hero, like Chione, and build them simultaneously.

Selene is one of the rarest and most powerful heroes in AOW.

You also might consider who is going to be available soon. If you don’t have a hero, and a Davison wheel pops up, you should probably go for it, instead of waiting 2–3 months for a usable hero.

The important thing is to make a plan and stick to it, don’t pick a turn pony like Harrison, and have fun. Need a good clan family? Vector has a clan to meet you at your level. Check out this link to join our discord: https://discord.gg/CZ6sSCsH95
