Sometimes the story starts with a simple LinkedIn message...
And you have to seize opportunities.
It’s 12.38pm in the South of France and the event takes place the next morning in the north, in Paris at 9am. I postpone the meetings, book the train + the accommodation and here we go:
As we were focused on game development, we wanted to limit travel and not go to PBW23 so as not to waste time on production.
But… it turns out that the timing was right: free place + train available.
And we had planned to sponsor a side-event taking place during Paris Blockchain Week!

The FOR FUTURE event was organised by Braand Studio & Nfinity Labs
and we’re going to share a few photos with you below before telling you all about Paris Blockchain Week.

You can see a number of projects, including ours in the top centre, with a BALLS-IN and a Z-MONSTER that we’ve integrated into our game!

Inside, it’s just wonderful…
The site selected for the event was Elyseum, an immersive space with 3D screens all over the room. A great exhibition was shown during the evening.
There was also an animation with Oculus VR headsets:
The second day, we’ll be visiting the stands at Paris Blockchain Week:
We talked a lot on many booths to: expand our network, create partnerships, get advice…
During our visit, we really liked the Joker Club stand:
There was a great attraction with a moving car + VR headsets but also some very cool animations :)

During the event, there was an in-house mobile app for organizing meetings and a dedicated space for networking.
A friend took a photo of me and sent it when I was in the middle of a meeting to promote our game BALLS-IN and our studio Smoothy Labs:
The company where this lady works has invested in Cross The Ages. History will tell whether this photo will be worth $0 or millions $ :)
Conclusion:
1/ The FOR FUTURE side-event was a great success!
The BALLS-IN team and I were very pleased with the event.

2/ Paris Blockchain Week is a great event, better organised in my opinion than NFT Paris (this remains my personal opinion if I compare these two 2023 editions). The PBW tickets are not accessible to everyone (from around €1,500). This allows us to filter profiles and it’s a good thing to have serious discussions with advanced projects.
However, this is still a barrier to mass adoption…
