How to use Barter on Asos

(This works on all e-commerce websites and apps as well. Considerations should be taken for app specific context)

A few points to remember

  • Your Barter card is a USD card so you must always select the United States as your country when adding the card.
  • You will also need a US phone number. You can get one of those easily online.
  • Your Barter card is a MasterCard so look out for the MasterCard logo when entering card details.
  • Barter offers you the ability to give your card a unique name.

Right, how to use your Barter card on Asos

Sign in to Asos

Go to your account

Click on “Edit/Add” card under wallets

Click on “add new payment method”

Select your card type (MasterCard)

Enter your Barter card details

Card holder name can be specific or random.

Select the United States as your country

Enter the rest of your details.

You also need to add your billing address to Asos for this to work properly

Go back to your accounts page

Click on “Edit/Add” under the address book section

Click on “add new” address

Remember to have a valid US phone number on file

Click on save

Make sure you assign your new card as your default as well as your new billing address. (You can always change this at the point of checking out after every shop)

You are now set up and ready to shop to your heart’s content.
