BreederDAO $BREED Token Staking Announcement

We are excited to announce that we have partnered with Vault.Inc to launch BreederDAO’s Staking Program. This program will allow BREED token holders to begin staking their BREED tokens immediately after participating in the Token Launch Auction on April 26 @ 2pm UTC. We have allocated a total of 30,000,000 BREED tokens (3% of the total supply) for DAO members who will be participating in the first year of the staking program.

Important Details

Access the staking website through the official link: https://stake.breederdao.io/
Staking opens April 26, 2022 2:00 pm UTC and starts the same time as the BREED TLA Public Sale.
Only a $BREED staking pool will be available.
There is no minimum stake amount.
Minimum lock-up period is 1 month.
Rewards will begin accruing at the start of staking. Claiming will open 5 days after as well.

With the token launch, BreederDAO is excited to welcome brand new DAO members who are committed to joining and participating actively to the DAO. We are committed to reward our long-term contributors and have designed our staking structure to align DAO incentives with loyal community members.

Staking Design

Our staking design is centered around a time-weighted incentive structure. BREED token holders are given the option to stake their tokens ranging from 1 month all the way up to the max lockup, 12 months. The longer the BREED tokens are staked, the higher the rewards. Please refer to the following rewards multiplier table to see the bonus rewards for every option:

Lock-up Duration

On sBREED

When BREED is staked, a corresponding amount of sBREED is sent to the staker’s wallet. sBreed is a non-transferable token used to calculate the BREED token rewards a staker is entitled to. The amount of sBREED tokens received will be correlated to the member’s chosen lock-up period, subject to the rewards multiplier table above. Below are examples of different staking scenarios illustrating how this staking design will work:

Staker 1 stakes 1,000 BREED tokens for 1 month. He will receive 1,250 sBREED tokens. Rewards multiplier is 1.25x: 1,000 x 1.25 = 1,250 sBREED.
Staker 2 stakes 1,000 BREED tokens for 12 months. She will receive 4,000 sBREED tokens. Rewards multiplier is 4.00x: 1,000 x 4.00 = 4,000 sBREED
Staker 3 stakes 10,000 BREED tokens for 8 months. She will receive 30,000 sBREED tokens. Rewards multiplier is 3.00x: 10,000 x 3.00 = 30,000 sBREED

The $BREED staking rewards pool will be updated on a daily basis. sBREED holders will receive a pro-rated share of the BREED token staking rewards in the pool based on the total sBREED tokens for that day. Aside from the initial 5 day no-claim period, rewards can be claimed at any time, even on a daily basis, but rewards are subject to a 6-month unlock schedule. One can choose to let their rewards accrue for a certain amount of time to save on Ethereum blockchain gas costs. We recommend a weekly or bi-monthly claiming schedule.

How to Stake Your BREED Tokens

Connect your wallet. Please make sure you are connected to the Ethereum network.

3. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and look for the staking pool. Click the “Stake” button.

4. A window will appear where you can input the amount of BREED tokens you want to stake, along with the amount of time you wish to lock your tokens for.

5. Click “Approve” and confirm the transaction. Click “Stake” and confirm the subsequent transaction.

6. You can view and claim your rewards through the dashboard.

Through the Staking Program, those who believe in BreederDAO’s long term vision for Play-and-Earn will earn more staking rewards and consequently, will have more voting power on the governance of our DAO. A total of 3% of token supply awaits those who undergo our very first staking program.
