Playcore — The Gateway to Blockchain Gaming

Last week, we introduced Playcore to the world. Playcore encapsulates our mission to onboard the next billion players to the play-and-earn industry: it is a user-oriented analytics and content platform geared to educate users and put them in a position to make better decisions when it comes to tackling blockchain game economies.

Through a mix of both on-chain and off-chain data, vetted research reports, social media takes and podcasts, we envision delivering high-value tools and analytics to gamers and guilds via Playcore. This is the same data that we use to make investment decisions, and we are more than happy to share this for the betterment of the blockchain gaming community.

The Future of Playcore

Currently, Playcore is a free-to-use platform. One can easily access Playcore to get up-to-date information on a multitude of games, with many more game integrations in the pipeline. At its present state, Playcore is generally geared towards a particular set of gamers who value data-based decision making. As more of our ecosystem participants use Playcore, we will be able to connect with both our present and incoming community members, and properly gauge the needs of our users.

The bigger vision for Playcore is for it to become the gateway of the blockchain gaming movement, where gamers congregate to explore the latest trends, research and games, and for the platform to inform players about not only their favorite blockchain games, but the industry as a whole. We plan to make Playcore inclusive — offering individuals the ability to earn through their own contributions such as providing meaningful and relevant content & media. Soon, Playcore itself will also offer a selection of premium, paid services that offer deeper and actionable insights and recommendations. This will provide a revenue stream, making Playcore a self-sustaining part in the overall BreederDAO ecosystem. Down the line, as Playcore evolves into a stand-alone project, we will be releasing the token that powers it: $PLAY

$PLAY Airdrop

We are fully committed to establishing the BreederDAO brand as a professional, reliable source of information and analytics — the foundation of which our asset production services are based on. This is the first of many ecosystem initiatives we plan to roll out, in line with our vision of capturing the whole value chain of the blockchain gaming industry. As part of the overall BreederDAO ecosystem, BREED token holders or DAO participants will be eligible for an airdrop of $PLAY. 10% of the total supply of $PLAY will be airdropped and split into two categories:

$BREED TLA Participants (5% of Total $PLAY Supply)

5% of the total $PLAY supply will be airdropped to partcipants of the BREED token during the Token Launch Auction (TLA). The $BREED TLA is happening from April 26, 2022 2:00 p.m. UTC until April 29, 2022 2:00 p.m. UTC. Right after the TLA ends, we will be taking a snapshot of all those who bought BREED from the TLA.

The ending wallet balances will be recorded, and 5% of the total $PLAY supply will be distributed according to the $BREED wallet holdings at that point in the snapshot. Please take note that all staked $BREED will also be part of the snapshot. A certain wallet’s $BREED holdings plus staked BREED over the total amount of $BREED in the snapshot is that wallet’s share of the pool. $BREED holders will get a proportional amount of the total $PLAYs to be distributed according to their share. This means the more $BREED your wallet has when the snapshot happens, the more $PLAY you will get.

Assuming a total of 45M $BREED were bought and held or staked after the BREED Token Auction and Person A staked 4.5M $BREED, he would have 10% of the total allotment of $PLAY for BREED participants (or 0.5% of $PLAY supply).

On the one hand, if Person B bought 4.5M $BREED tokens but sold half and held the rest, only 2.25M $BREED will be eligible for the $PLAY airdrop. This means that Person B only gets ~5% of the allocated $PLAY supply (or 0.025% of $PLAY total supply), instead of the supposed ~10% (or 0.5% of $PLAY total supply) if he did not sell half during the the Auction

$BREED Stakers — Leaderboard (5% of Total $PLAY Supply)

As previously announced, we will open up staking for the BREED token. The staking dashboard will have a leaderboard and to reward the loyal community members, we will be airdropping another 5% of the total supply of $PLAY proportionally to the Top 1,000 stakers according to their points. A random snapshot will be taken anytime between the time the staking dashboard goes live and before the launch of $PLAY. A certain wallet’s points over the total amount of points for the Top 1,000 stakers in the leaderboard is that wallet’s share of the pool. The top stakers will get a proportional amount of the total $PLAYs to be distributed according to their share. The more points you have when the snapshot happens, the more $PLAY you will get.

So if you want to maximize your $PLAY tokens, then contribute to the auction and stake your tokens in order to get a share from both airdrop pools.

We at BreederDAO are thrilled with the feedback we have gotten for Playcore, and we are even more excited to see what the future holds for Playcore as a product in itself and for the BreederDAO ecosystem as a whole. We hope that with these airdrops, we can reward the community members who have been part of BreederDAO since day one. The exact date of the release of the $PLAY is yet to be determined, but all eligible wallets will be recorded and the tokens will be distributed accordingly when the time comes.
