Chippy’s World launched on April 20, 2022. Prior to launching, we shared a Medium pre-launch article detailing the Chippy’s World collection and launch details.

Who Is Chippy? 😈
It was March 2020. I was living in NYC working on Gary Vaynerchuk’s personal brand team, Team GaryVee.
The lockdown had just started, so I went from being outside all day to being stuck inside 24/7.
To make the best of the situation, I picked up art again after a decade of failed attempts. I went on Amazon and ordered the first tablet I came across!
As soon as the tablet arrived.. I was hooked!
I drew every night after work and even started a live show “Drawing with Zain” It started with 2 viewers. Then 10. Then 30. And at one point we even had 100 people tune in!
It was so much fun. Sometimes the community and I would draw for 4+ hours together!
One day, I had an idea to make a series of characters I was trapped in my tiny apartment with. And that’s when Chippy was born!
In early 2020, I was enjoying breakfast when I noticed a tiny red demon baby appear on my dining table and dip his tiny hands into my oatmeal.
From that moment, a lifelong friendship was forged ❤️
We went grocery shopping together.
We played in the snow together.
We celebrated Halloween together.
We even explored NYC together!
There were many times Chippy would have company over without me knowing.
Despite my house rules…
Due to strong demand from the community, we even dropped limited merch together!
After diving hard into web3 in 2021, including getting to plan and launch all things community & content for VeeFriends and support web3 platforms with their content strategy, April 2022 felt like the right time to bring Chippy onto the blockchain and tell his story.
I even gave Chippy a fresh, new look for the occasion!
What Is Chippy’s World? 🎨
Chippy’s World is a collection of 2,500 Chippys on the Ethereum blockchain.
Since early February, I’ve been building in public, sharing project updates and behind the scenes art, getting community feedback, and building relationships with Chippy’s biggest fans. To see all of this come together like this is a dream come true!
The goal of Chippy’s World is to story tell, inspire creativity, and bring everyone’s favorite red devil baby to life in fun ways.

2020 Memories 1 of 1s
The six “Memories” pieces are from 2020, when Chippy and I were stuck in a tiny apartment together during quarantine. The origin story; this is where it all began 🥲

The five “Inward” pieces were an opportunity to reflect on my own personal journey through Chippy. A little dark but it’s necessary ❤️

The ten “Stick Figure” pieces are a throwback to the good ol days, sitting in the back of class scribbling cartoons in my notebooks 📝
What are the Chippy Letters? 💌
We recently started a campaign sharing Chippy is failing his english class and the ONLY way he can pass Mrs. Brown’s class is by sending handwritten letters to holders to prove his hard work ethic
200+ holders provided their mailing addresses and Chippy and I got to work
Holders are receiving their letters right now and sharing on socials! Each letter comes with a custom 1/1 drawing, stickers, pin, and a custom thank you note
Holders will also be entered into a raffle for some special prizes (including hand crotchet chippy plushies). Raffle tickets coming soon.

What are the Noms? 👽
In May 2022, we started a series called the Noms, where I create and mint 1/1 creatures (called Noms) for random Chippy’s World holders on youtube live. Not all Chippy’s World holders are promised a Nom (the numbers just don’t make it possible sadly) but I’ll do my best! The overall goal is to hang out and have fun.

The Chippy’s World Roadmap 🗺
Our one roadmap item will be gifting holders at a certain time a copy of the collector’s edition of Chippy’s first book (date and details TBA).
With that said, we may or may not have some fun things up our sleeves that I’m excited to work on and share.
If there’s one thing I want readers to get from this article, it’s that Chippy means a lot to me. This little red guy has been with me through some of the most transformative and challenging years of my life. To get to share him (and his story) with all of you is super exciting.
I’m big on self awareness and level setting expectations — I have zero plans to hire 50 people or build a huge video game with complex tokenomics. That’s not me.
I just want to have a small group of people who love Chippy (and hopefully me) and make cool art and special memories together over time.

What Is Good Morning Doodles? ✍️
Good Morning Doodles is a 1/1 collection created in October 2021 (prior to the Chippy’s World nft collection).
Back in the day, these 1/1 doodles would drop weekly. No specific topic, art style, or utility. Just random 1/1s based on what I was feeling and thinking in the moment. My genesis nft collection. All GMD holders were gifted one free Chippy (per GMD they owned) and got auto premint for Chippy’s World launch this year as well.
Is this the end of Good Morning Doodles? We’ll see 👀
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) 🤝
1. Why is the Discord only open Mon 9am ET — Fri 9pm ET?
a) Just because web3 is on 24/7, doesn’t mean we have be : ) I’m a big believer in the importance of proper rest (and playing lots of pokemon). Not only does getting rest ensure we’re here long-term, it also helps spark new ideas and creativity. Sleep is underrated.
b) The read-only weekend discord also allows folks to catch up on announcements, general chat, etc. at their own pace, if they were busy during the weekdays.
Chippy’s World Twitter is still active on weekends.
2. Can we expect sneak drops?
Now that Chippy’s World has launched, I will never do a sneak drop (I did a few for Good Morning Doodles back in the day). If you hear rumblings or come across a sneak drop by “me”, it’s 100% a scam
3. You do a Twitter Scribble Challenge (example) on Mondays and Fridays. Is there a prize for submitting art?
The goal of the Scribble Challenge is to give people a reason to create something new and flex their creative muscles 2x a week. Originally, I was considering doing prizes for it but have decided against it:
a) I don’t feel comfortable judging anyone’s artwork, this is all subjective
b) I don’t feel comfortable turning the Scribble Challenge into a popularity contest and having people vote
c) I want people to create because they want to. Because they have something they want to express. Because they have a crazy idea in their heads they want to transform into an art piece. Because they want to step away from their busy adult day-to-day life for 10 minutes and bring something new to life. Because it’s fun. Not because there’s a financial incentive, that’s silly
4. What is the secondary royalty for Chippy’s World?
5% creator royalty
5. What is the secondary royalty for Good Morning Doodles?
10% creator royalty
6. What is the financial ROI I can expect from these collections?
There are no financial guarantees ever. As a result, I advise people to buy only what they can afford to go to zero due to the nature of the volatile, fast-paced nft market. Also, if any founder or team promises you any financial ROI, I recommend running far away.
