Curious France. Made by AI for People.

Ingeenee released new version of travel optimizer, and updated Curiosio user interface to make it work for you. It works in Chrome; we did not test Safari, DuckDuckGo, Firefox. With Chrome you could jump to beta3.ingeenee.com.

Now, within France, you could do this:

  • Find more curious road trips within desired duration & budget.
  • Use any recognized locations in France as start and finish.
  • Enter desired waypoints between start and finish locations.
  • See trip time breakdown and trip budget breakdown.

This post shows how to do customized search in France by duration & budget, route mapping, interaction with trip route, export of trip route for offline turn-by-turn navigation, for driving. For instant search, trip plan structure — see Curious Italy.

Custom Search

Before hitting the red big button, if you change one or more parameters from this list — number of geeks, dates, budget, number of cars, comfort, curiosity — then it’s custom search.

Trip Route

Every proposed trip is expandable into Trip Plan. Every Trip Plan has a graphical widget for Trip Route. The route is visualized over the map of France, using most usable zoom level in each context. The route shows start and finish locations, overnight locations (where you stay and sleep for 1+ nights), and direction of driving from start to finish. All locations on the route are clickable, to display zoomed names; all names are linked to Wikipedia for descriptions and pictures.

Navigation

When you like a proposed trip route, you could export it to Google Maps or HERE WeGo. Then it’s possible to switch to Car Mode, and send the route to your smart phone, for turn-by-turn navigation. Using smart phone for navigation works even in offline mode, if you saved the maps for offline use.

Export of Trip Route to Google Maps

Next recording shows cyclic trip. If start and finish cities (or towns, villages, other recognized locations) are the same, then the trip route will be cyclic. E.g. you land and start trip in Paris, also you finish and take off from Paris.

Export of Trip Route to HERE WeGo

Sometimes some locations might be exported incorrectly. This happens with HERE WeGo much more frequently than with Google Maps.
