Day Ten

Ten days. Woot.

I think I’ve strayed a bit from my intent with these updates.

Looking back on the original post, I think the structure of these questions could be answered more directly.

How well did I follow my plan? What enabled me to do more? What became an obstacle? What is one thing I may consider doing differently next week?

  1. I followed my plan fairly well today. I was slow to create it — and I added to it throughout the day — but the net result was good.
  2. I was enabled today by printing my list (Tasks “marked for Today” in Asana) and systematically marking them off, holding myself to the set order.
  3. I’m forming my plan for next week. One thing I’d like to do is run a controlled experiment with working out midday — either 10am (before the lunch break crowds) or 2pm (before the rush hour). Another thing, I want to do work first thing for four straight days. I want to test my productivity when I make a habit of the fast start.

The intent to block my calendar for focused time is paying off. Turning out to be a solid week.
