Ditch the niche…
If I start my writing career again then this is what I am going to do —
A letter to my younger self!
- Ditch the niche — You’ll figure it out later.
- Reviews don’t matter — Stick to what suits you the best.
- Don’t depend on one platform — You’ll surely go down when the algorithm changes.
- Don’t think you’ll make big forever — Sometimes you make less than your last three months combined!
- New writers can be better than you — Learn from them too. Not necessary to experiment with everything yourself. Save your time.
- AI can mess with your career — Use as little as possible. After all, you are a creator! what else are you gonna do?
- Don’t have too many pen names — I am struggling currently to manage all.
Conclusion
If I have to relaunch my writing career then this is what I will do.
I believe in experimenting as much as possible. But make sure you don’t put too much toil on yourself.
