I don’t know much about SEO, so social media is the best place to make money instead of a blog.

Starting a personal blog looks like a lucrative career nowadays. Everyone has a blog now.

Personal blogs have always been my personal favorites. The best thing about a personal blog is that it completely belongs to you. You earn money in many different ways without restrictions.

The problem I face with personal blogs —

But there are a few downsides that I am realizing now. I will be stating here a few:

  1. More time to manage — even with a blog, I still have to put out content regularly on social media.
  2. SEO tools: I have to optimize my articles so that they can rank on Google’s search engine. And for that, SEO tools are necessary.
  3. Handle everything alone. I now hate handling everything myself. I am always for solopreneurship, but now I am realizing that I cannot do everything myself. It doesn’t matter; I have made many sites in the past for my Fiverr client. Still, I have limited hours in a day to work.
  4. Expensive hosting for best results: You have to pay for domains and hosting. Shared hosting is the best choice for someone looking for a cheap plan. But the downside is that the website is slow.
  5. Tiny problems consume the whole day. There is a problem with the website all the time. Even a tiny, tiny problem can consume my whole day to solve.

But I still need a blog for my business —

I understand that some businesses work better on the blog than on the social media platform. If this is so, then starting with shared hosting is a good option for you. When your business starts to make $500 per month in income, shift your blog to a dedicated server. There are a lot of good companies out there, so I won’t be mentioning anyone. The only thing you need here is a good budget.

Conclusion

There are times when we are confused about what to do. For this reason, many newbies are still thinking about whether to have a personal blog or not.

I would tell you to prefer social media platforms first. Try to make some sales through your accounts, and then decide whether you have to go with a personal blog or not.

I hope this will help you! Try to make at least $1,000 through your social media account. And then decide whether you have to move forward with your business or not. I cannot see any better way than this!
