Why be the wallpaper? (fitting in)

To fit in is to silence your strengths and your gifts. To fit in is to be forcefully led away from you — the only thing you have — the most precious thing you have. To fit in is to be invisible, to be forgotten, to be dead. To fit in is the beginning of the end.

They’re all different. But they hide their difference, they’re ashamed of it, and soon they’ll forget about their uniqueness altogether. They’re just another face in the crowd. They don’t matter. They never will.

But that’s not you. You’re different. You’ve always been this way. You feel it. You know it. You cherish it. You hone it. You’re cut from a different fabric, and you’re proud of that. It’s your key. It’s you.
