On August 29 UTC, Rainbow Wallet released version 2.3 with a fully upgraded UI and its operations of the new version are a lot more clear. To help users understand the new version better, we have prepared a series of tutorials. Here is the part 2: How to Make a Regular Transfer and Transfer to Exchanges.

Regular Transfer

Send

1. Go to the frontpage , tap on [IRIS] and go to [IRIS Details];

2. Select [Send], and you can type manually, use the address book or scan the QR code to add the address you want to send to; then you can enter the amount and memo.

3. Enter the password and press [comfirm]; you will be done with the transfer.

Notice:

Making transaction through Rainbow Wallet, you need to spend a little Gas Fee (the maximum amount is 0.6 IRIS). We do not recommend users customize Gas Fee by themselves.

Receive

  • In the Rainbow Wallet, there are two methods to get one’s own address which can be used to receive IRIS tokens.
  • Go to [IRIS Details], then tap on [Receive];
  • On the [Assets] page, there is an address under the name of your Wallet. Tap on the code to the [Receive] page.
  • On the [Receive] page, senders can scan the QR code to send you the tokens. You can also copy your address and send it to the others to receive IRIS tokens.

Transfer to Exchanges

  • Open the [Asset] page, choose [IRIS], then go to [IRIS Details];
  • Choose [Send], enter the address from the exchange by scanning or typing it down; then enter the amount of IRIS and add a memo;
  • Enter the password and press [Confirm]; then you can finish the whole process of a transfer to an exchange.

Notice:

  • When you want to transfer your tokens to exchanges, you need to know whether you need to fill in the memo. You can ask exchanges for the detailed info;
  • Every transaction history can be seen in [IRIS Details] and [Transfer Record];
  • Every on-chain transaction can be searched through https://www.irisplorer.io/#/home

The information above is the second part of the tutorial. If you want to use Cold Wallet to go through the whole process, please go to:Keep Your Private Keys Offline in Rainbow App. If you have any questions related to using the wallet, you can email us at Service@irisnet.org.

About Rainbow

Rainbow Wallet is the first mobile client for IRISnet. It provides staking functions based on Bonded PoS. It starts to support IRIS Hub and Cosmos Hub since version 2.0. Users can directly participate in the blockchain network via Rainbow Wallet, manage IRIS and ATOM tokens, and also choose validators that they trust. By delegating and participating in the on-chain security and governance of IRIS Hub and Cosmos Hub, users together with validators can maintain the stability of the network and receive rewards. For advanced users, Rainbow Wallet also provides features of Watch Wallet and Cold Wallet.
