The port on Awashima Island

Welcome back for more Numazu tour! Before we getting started, here’s links to all the part I have written so far.

Part 1 : Numazu Downtown
Part 2 : Numazu Fish Market + View-O
Part 3 : Awashima Island
Part 4 : Uchiura (Mito Beach)
Part 5 : Uchiuranagahama

Okay, so in previous blogs, I took you guys to 2 major part of this amazing town so far, the downtown itself, and the fish market, located at the south of the downtown. In this blog, we’re going to go further to the south and cross the sea to Awashima Island. It took about 25 minutes and 10.5 km to travel from the fish market to Shigedera Port.

The map from the fish market to Shigedera Port

I will not post the video, since it’s just basically 25 minutes of driving around. Anyway, after arriving at the parking lots near the port. There are LL:SS related sign everywhere!

LL:SS Everywhere!

Well, so far, only see one sign of Awashima Marine Park… LL:SS really ruled this town…

Crossing to Awashima Island is also not free (of course) 1,800 JPY for adults and 900 JPY for children required.

Comparison…

As you can see, there are LL:SS boats too, but it wasn’t in service that day. On that boat, there are autograph of LL:SS voice actress, so it was a very sad story for me :( But the show must go on! 5 minutes later, boat arrived at the Awashima Island, and this is the first thing I saw.

Correct copy…

That’s right, in the 1st episode, Chika and You came here to visit Kanan. Awashima actually a peaceful island because there are only a few people here. Turning around, and this Japanese restaurant can be seen. Inside, there are a lot of LL:SS voice actress and staff autograph. Special menu, Aqours-Don can also be order, and it cost 1,800 JPY

Walking toward the island and the first thing to be seen is an aquarium giftshop with a lot of LL:SS goods.

LL:SS goods everywhere!

Okay, since we spent over 7,000 JPY on aquarium tickets, let’s see what is in the aquarium…

A lot of fish as expected…

A lot of fish with information are available for study. Sadly, there’s no English text inside the aquarium and I can’t read Japanese, so it’s boring for me. There are penguins too, which can be somewhat enjoyable as they swim around. Anyway, to the next stop, Kanan’s house…

On the way, this chair can be spotted, which is the backdrop of this photo in October 2015 G’s Magazine!

Continue walking about 5 minutes and this sign with Aqours autograph can be seen. Seems like they just came to this island on the day that they released their 3rd single, “HAPPY PARTY TRAIN.”

Finally, we arrived at Kanan’s house or in the real life, Kaerukan (Frog’s house).

Kanan’s swimsuit can be found inside the building and belows are some photo of frogs and fan art. Autograph can also be found here.

Walking to the front of the building and this scene can be found

Ok, we’re done for Kanan’s house, let’s go to Awashima Shine, where Aqours run up and down to exercise.

Since we have limited time, we didn’t go to the shine itself as sign stated that it would take 50 minutes for a round trip. The stairway is also very steep. Our final decision was to went up only 100 meters from the starting point.

As you can see, the stairway is very steep and if you are not physically fit, you should avoid trying to get up to the top. Huge applause for Kanan as she run up and down everyday… Okay, let’s diverted to Mari’s house on the other side of the Island.

We saw LL:SS boat come for service again… :( We didn’t have a chance to get on it because on the way back, they gave us the same old boat… But enough of it, let’s went straight to the Mari’s house or Awashima Hotel in real life.

On the way to the hotel, this sign can be seen. The date tell us that the autograph is super new!

The walkway is really clean and shady. Unfortunately, the hotel don’t allow us to take picture or enter. They only gave their guest the privilege. So we walked pass this tunnel to the other side of the island.

On the other side of the tunnel, this wonderful landscape is waiting for you! Notice something in this picture?

Ok Ok, here it is!

Nagaisaki Junior High School from Awashima Island

Nagaisaki Junior High School or in the anime, Uranohoshi Girls’ High School can be seen from the Awashima Island, really beautiful right? We will get there later! There were really nothing on the island, so we decided to end the trip to Awashima Island with a dophin show!

Dophin show at Awashima Aquarium

We left the island and on the boat, this scenery can be seen…

Scenery from the boat compared to the 1st episode

So that’s it for Awashima Island, there’s only a few things on the island and the tickets are very expensive. In the next blog, I’m gonna take you guys for a tour at Uchiura, which is where all the magic happened! Don’t forget to leave comments and stay tuned!
