This week I was supposed to post the second part of the Kushan fleet, but sadly that one got delayed once again, but for a good reason. As you may have noticed in the last few posts, I’ve finally learned how to add parts lists to the builds, but it takes a while to do it retroactively, so there’s that. The upside of this is that we get more Halo ships to enjoy. This time the second and last part of the preparation for the Easter fleet listings post for Intercept Orbit. Time to check on the new Covenant ships!

This post is divided into the Covenant proper and the Brute-led Banished fleet, so lets start with the new Covenent High Value Asset.

The Stealth Ship was a somewhat frail and poorly-armed vessel that used its cloacking and ECM devices to remain hidden from enemy detection. These abilities were useful for a wide array of support duties, mostly Intelligence gathering. Within a fleet they could be valuable targets to acquire information, but they can also be transporting VIPs or even special forces operatives or other important cargo.

The model uses only 11 parts plus the base.

Moreover, the Banished will use the Kig-Yar Raiders are HVAs, as they are mostly used as troop transports by that faction. This being the case, they needed an Ace company, a corvette squadron. By scooping the Halo Wikia, which is a great source of information for all things Halo, I found the Drakkar, a type of Banished scout and ECM vessel. This would be perfect for a Blue Ace, so this is what I intend it to be.

This is a really simple build, using only 4 parts per ship. However, half of these parts are not very common (the binoculars) which may be an issue to get the two of them done.

Now, this faction only needed a frigate-type ship. In the same source I found the Karve, a type of powerful medium-sized vessel that the Banished use as escort for their dreadnoughts. I can see it as a moderately-armed scout frigate that you can deploy in numbers to overwhelm the opposition.

This model is really easy to make and uses only 36 parts that should not be hard to find, even if not in these colors. I think it turned out great.

The only thing left now for this series is to share the listings I will use so you can use them or get inspired by them to explore your own ideas. These will also be useful for me to play some games and make presentation videos for people to learn how to play it. Let’s see how it goes. Later on, a Constructed fleet would also be nice — we’ll see.

Exploring Halo has been a travel down Nostalgia Lane. This universe meant so much to me decades ago, and still does in some capacity, which is why I’m doing these posts. Another setting I deeply loved back then was Starcraft. ThatBroDad, who as helped me a lot with my Homeworld builds, has make some incredible Terran ships for Intercept Orbit and I highly advise you to check them out. They are great and easy to follow and will make you remember the low-poly battles from decades ago like I did.

Support me on Ko-fi to help me keep the lights on and keep doing nonsense like this! You can also check RPG modules and games I’ve done if you so wish.

Now go out there play games and enjoy your lives!
