The Zombie canyon.
Greta crawled out from the demolished car. She was fastened with her sit belt, that’s why she was safe.

She helped Jackson, but he wasn’t so lucky — he was alive, but unconscious, the arm was broken, his breathing was heavy.
Several zombie-birds came to them immediately.
They didn’t talk, but clearly wanted Greta to follow them. A bit further was a table, full of disgusting dishes, some green birds were around. These birds also were zombies. Canaries invite to join them.. It was “Demented Feast”

The creatures insisted on sharing food with them. Greta grabbed herself a fat spider from a hot cauldron, she didn’t want to offend these weird but friendly birds. She didn’t have enough courage to eat the bones or human brains from the table. Hiding her disgust, she gnawed the spider’s paw and at that very moment begin to understand zombies language.
I distracted from the story: “It happens often in life, son, that other people are not similar to us — their behavior, culture, food, manner of communication. But if you give them a chance, and especially if you share the food with them, they open up. They don’t look so scary and angry, you can hear and listen to them, and they can hear you. They are ready to help you in a rough situation, so you could understand that despite the differences, you could have similar visions on the World.”
Kanarias wanted to know everything: who is she, what was she doing here, what she wanted. But the only thing Grate could think about was Jackson, because he was dying after the car crash. She, without answering questions from the birds, begged to save him. The birds quickly figured out what was needed, but they couldn’t help with it. They walked Greta deep into the canyon and showed the entrance to the dark cave:
- Inside this cave you will get a chance to save your friend. Be sincerely, honest and brave.
Overcoming the fear of darkness, the small girl went through the entrance. Sliding down, she fell into the depths. Then Greta reached the bottom on the smooth surface of the tunnel and full darkness surrounded her. What was she supposed to do? It was impossible to get back, the angle of the tunnel was too steep. Besides, she dived into the unknown not to come back with nothing. There was only darkness ahead of her.
She could use the New Year’s light from Sentimental pirate, and Greta even picked it up. But then, remembering the Pirate’s words: “When you light it, I’ll find you,” the girl decided that it’s not the right time. Continuously touching the walls, the girl went deeper and deeper.
Mood: philosophic. I added: “Son, if only the darkness surrounds you, move forward, despite your fear. Face your fear without using valuable resources. Do what you must and come what may.”
