How Dr. Vyas gets inspirations for his masterpieces from architecture

We’re here to cherish how dr. Vyas considers interiors and cultures for inspiration, and in this little blog, there’s much to love!

There have been many famous artists who take inspiration from cultures around the world, and dr. Vyas can be counted among them.

As we know, every single painting from him has a main character linked with a motive.

Travelling and painting…that’s where his mastery lays

As mentioned in the previous blogs, he illustrates his traveling tales in his paintings, and all this is the outcome of his deep sense of understanding culture and traditions.

Absorbing the essence of culture isn’t everybody’s cup of tea. However, an artist is most of the time the right person!

One right observation and it can become the source of inspiration for a masterpiece that people may remember for decades!

Studying interior designs and local culture plays a vital role in terms of the theme and storyline of any composition, whether it be painting, designing a house, or workplace, says Dr. Vyas.

A glimpse of Kathiawari culture from the eyes of Dr. Vyas

Dr. Vyas belongs to the Kathiawar region of Gujarat, and he has been absorbing the essence of the local culture since he was a kid. It’s such a pleasure to discuss with him the famous sculptures and architectures of this region, and he has such deep knowledge that while discussing, 3 hours passed like 3 minutes!

We were amazed by understanding his way and dimension of cherishing and understanding the cultures and interior decors. When you walk into his private art gallery in Gondal, where the best series of his paintings is displayed, you’ll be clearly able to notice the put of Kathiawari culture is highlighted in his artworks.

One painting named Subhadra Krishna attracted our eyeballs, and it was so well enriched by Kathiawari culture. In this painting, you could see an intricate beadwork room of Kathiawari Maand room of Anand Vilas Palace of Jasdan, enriching the background. The In-house Artefacts included in the background are truly heart-winning.

Another jaw-dropping painting you find in the same art gallery is “Stri hath — Ram vanvas.” but how does this painting manage to win everybody’s heart?

The Glorious trips to USA and Thailand in 2018

Mr. Vyas calls 2018 a “glorious year” of his life, as he had 2 fantastic trips this year — the USA and Thailand. By the way, the culture of Thailand impressed him so much that he paid a second visit the same year.

East Asia has been a tremendous cultural heritage for centuries, and we can see the impression of Hinduism still there.

Lord Rama, the worshiped and beloved one, gave the reign of east Asia to his younger brother after his coronation as per Hindu mythology. Connecting the local culture to millennials old Hindu mythological stories, My Vyas created “Shrutkirti and Shatrughna” painting with oriental style.

Now here’s the main blend…

The same year, as I mentioned, Mr. Vyas had a trip to the USA, and the Philadelphia art museum proved to have a unique impact on his“artistic mind.”

While talking to him about this trip, we were clearly able to notice the expressions of joy on his face while he was describing the art pieces that he found there.

There he found an Oriental throne and unique pet cage of Mongolia, and this was the same thing that displayed typical oriental character to his painting.

Not just that, he has blended a lot of things and managed to illustrate everything in just one painting. Would you like to read what all is there?

Well, firstly, oriental crafts from different museums seem to impress him so much.

The examples here can be an oriental lamp and miniature painting from Buckingham palace oriental room, ceramic art from Victoria Albert museum, ikebana art of Japan, and Jade tableware from China showing oriental tea culture.

He remembers everything so perfectly and links each and every art piece with its art style and place of origin so perfectly. Isn’t that amazing?

Angkor Wat temple is a very famous pilgrimage spot. The wooden cutwork frame head of this marvelous temple antique oriental woodcraft from a private collection looks stunning, doesn’t it?

A word about “Shrutkirti and Shatrughna”

Undoubtedly, Dr. Vyas is a highly talented artist, but the saying is cent percent true that sometimes, nothing works except God’s blessing when you accomplish something “too big.”

It won’t be too much to describe “Shrutkirti and Shatrughna” as a “magical painting.” No matter how talented the artist is, such a painting can’t be created without God’s blessing. This painting brings you the feel, and that’s probably the biggest challenge for any artist.

Visiting Dr. Vyas’ private art gallery in Gondal can truly change your way of admiring and feeling things, its true, and if you don’t fully believe that, better visit it once and drop a comment down here.
