You need to do re-parenting for yourself, teach yourself the power of self-love, Set yourself free from past generational traumas, accept what has happened in the past, cry as much as you can, and not run away from your emotions rather than just sit silently and allow your emotions to surface; this is the process of the healing journey.

Remember, getting over traumatic experiences takes time. It’s not an overnight process. Remind yourself every day that unfavourable events are part of life. It is entirely okay not to be okay.

The traumatic experiences are out of your control. But consistent effort each day can help you conquer challenging times.

Initially, progress may seem minimal when working through past trauma, but with consistent efforts, you will be able to overcome it. Along the way, recognize any strides you make and keep in mind the progress won’t be linear.

What’s crucial is the consistency of your efforts. Celebrate even the smallest steps forward and give yourself credit for becoming resilient and making it this far

Journaling is the best healthy outlet for your emotions. Write down your thoughts on paper, recognize and validate your emotions, gain valuable insights into your inner world, strive for progress in your career and learn one new thing every single day.

This is the essence of self-love you don’t leave yourself alone in any circumstances. You become your own advocate, cultivating the practice of nurturing and caring for yourself when it’s necessary.
