I’m Grateful For These 3 Things.

What Are You Grateful for? For Whom Are You Grateful?

In years past, I’ve cultivated a gratitude practice. It was kind of like a journal, but more minimalist. Although it’s been some time since I’ve engaged in it, I decided to share a few things I’m grateful for.

I hope my words inspire you to respond with your own 3 things. Whether that’s expressed in your heart or below this post makes no difference. But I’d be grateful if you did respond here on Medium. Being thankful among one another can be powerful.

With no particular association, here are 3 things I’m grateful for.

My Family

Family is a blessing. I’m grateful for them. For the quality time I’m able to experience with them. In November of 2017, my family welcomed another member. My niece was born the week after Thanksgiving. And becoming an uncle — for the second time — is one of the newest reasons I’m grateful.

The Ability To Read And Write

Since joining Medium, I’ve become more intentional about reading and writing. I’m grateful that I can read and write. Not everyone can. Understanding others through reading and writing makes way for so many creative possibilities.

Opportunities To Create

In work and life, I’m grateful for opportunities to create: Writing here on Medium and at my website. Composing and performing music. Cooking up a delicious meal. Designing graphics and websites for clients. These opportunities are abundant and pervasive. They make life a beautiful tapestry.

What are you grateful for?

Thanks for reading my words! For more, check out my three-part Medium story It’s 2018 And All I’m Doing Is Standing Around. I also wrote a short and sweet post entitled 3 Habits To Become Incredibly Successful.

If this post was meaningful for you, share some love by applauding, sharing your response, or forwarding it to a friend. Thank you!
