Is your website ‘optimised properly’ in the ‘The Eye’s of Google’?

SEO Audit Services

Making sure your website is perfect in the ‘eyes of Google’.

Quite frankly.

Isn’t an easy task.

Their algorithm is becoming increasingly complex — with more jargon thrown around than ever:

  • “Rank Brain”
  • ‘E.A.T’
  • “September Core Update 2019”

And so on.

However, in the increasing complexity of SEO, lies a lot of opportunity.

See.

As there are more and more tasks to carry out to make sure your website is catering to Google’s algorithms.

Means there are more aspects that you can ‘tick box’ on your website — that your competition simply isn’t.

The result?

You can get a greater and greater edge on your competition — allowing you to get a great share of your competition’s traffic.

A quick example.

Google is now looking for faster websites (and they’ve confirmed it is a ranking factor).

Through an SEO audit, we will be able to uncover the speed of your website and how we can improve it further.

If your website and your competition’s website is loading a page at 4 seconds. However, the SEO audit details how we can get it to load in under 2 seconds.

This is one touch point that you now have an advantage over your competition.

Of course.

An SEO Audit will however uncover many of these type touch points for you to get an advantage (in the Audits I provide, we go through over 100).

You can quickly start to see how valuable an SEO audit can be to your business and website.

That’s why you’ve probably gone ahead and Google’d “SEO Audit London Services” or “Technical Website SEO Audit” or something along those lines and of course found this blog post.

Maybe your website isn’t pulling the organic traffic that you would like — and consequently the sales or leads that it should be generating — that’s exactly where an SEO audit can help.

See, here’s the thing.

A good SEO audit should do the following:

  1. Point out where your website is going wrong from all aspects of SEO (on page, off page as well as technical — not just technically, like most audits do).
  2. Then actually how you can fix it.

Unfortunately, a lot of SEO audits tend to fall into one of two camps, it’s either:

i) A free SEO audit.

These tend to be automatic scrapers, that are used to try and get your email. Practically-speaking there’s no real gain to be made from them — and they will always be interested in finding a problem (even if there isn’t one).

ii) You head to an SEO Agency.

What you tend to find is the following:

They are insanely overpriced, overcomplicated and a complete 10,000 word mega audit data dump— that’s generally completely unactionable.

You are basically just sent across spreadsheet after spreadsheet — with a range of 404 status error codes, 3xx redirects and so on to sort out.

It’s full of SEO jargon, that they purposefully make hard for you to understand, and leave you with an overall feeling like your website is completely broken.

In the hopes that they can get you on to an expensive retainer for them to deal with it.

And if you do attempt to fix it yourself? How do you know if you’ve done it right? Without forking out for another expensive SEO audit.

In reality?

Most of the time all the SEO problems that an SEO audit produces aren’t all that serious and can easily be dealt with.

That’s where my SEO Audits are a little different.

Firstly, they are way more cost appropriate.

Secondly, they are produced in layman's terms. You will know exactly what’s broken, why it is broken, what’s the result of it being broken, how you can fix it, and how you will know it’s fixed.

Lastly, I will walk you through the entire audit. Step. By. Step. I won’t just leave you with the SEO audit and think my job is done.

I want you to get compelte value out of the SEO Audit, otherwise, what’s the point?

Just as a quick self plug:

Now.

Let’s talk about — why’ your website needs SEO Audit Services — and actually ‘how’ it benefits from it.

Firstly, I just to give a really simple explanation of what SEO is,

It can basically be broken down to the following three components: technical, off page and on page.

That’s it.

And if your website is weak on any of these three areas then chances are, that’s why it is failing to get that organic traffic into your site.

i) Technical SEO

This is basically ensuring that your Google understands your website in the right way.

The best way of thinking about technical SEO is just like the following:

If you were a search engine and you had to rate one website against another— what other factors would you look at to put one above the other?

  • Website Speed — if one website takes just 1 second to load compared to another that took 1 seconds? It would be preferential for the user to go with the faster website.
  • Secure — if one website is more secure than the other? Then this could be a ranking factor too — as you want to ensure your user gets the best experience.
  • Internal Links — does your website link to dead end pages that no longer exist? If so, this could harm the user experience as they get frustrated with using your website.

These are the type of aspects that are within your control to fix for when it comes to Technical SEO.

Ahrefs Complete Technical SEO Audit

This is a great little introduction as to what actually a brief SEO audit does (in my SEO audits, I actually carry out the exact same audit as above and a whole lot more).

ii) Off Page SEO

Off Page SEO is mainly to do with backlinks.

A backlink is simply where one website links to another one.

For instance, this right here is a backlink going to Wikipedia talking about website audits.

The backlink would be for Wikipedia coming from medium.com.

The more backlinks you have, the higher your domain rating (which is a score that estimates your ranking power for the website as a whole).

Then the higher your domain rating, the higher your chances are of ranking for your desired keyword.

However, not all backlinks are created equal.

Get a backlink from a University (.ac.uk or .edu) or a link from the BBC is far more valuable than a backlink from a spammy forum website or blog comment someone has made.

iii) On Page SEO

On Page simply refers to what the visitor can see on the website.

Very much like what you are reading right now. The fact that I mention ‘SEO Audit Services’ in the text as well as the title.

Is helping Google to actually understand what’s going on with the page.

This refers to things like the images you see, the videos that I have included, other websites that I have linked to.

Google is getting a better understanding of exactly what this page is about.

Now, websites can carry out ‘On Page SEO’ rather poorly.

Mainly, because they don’t have any content at all — and is just full of pretty pictures and graphics — which is great from a user point of view.

However, it can be hard for Google to actually understand what is going on with the page.

That’s why by incorporating content onto the page.

Remember this though.

SEO is is just one half of the formula.

See, it’s great getting organic traffic. However, you also need to convert that traffic. That’s where CRO comes into play.

CRO: Conversion Rate Optimsaiton.

Wikipedia says it best:

“Conversion rate optimization is a system for increasing the percentage of visitors to a website that convert into customers, or more generally, take any desired action on a webpage. It is commonly referred to as CRO”

A great little overview of exactly what conversion rate optimisation is and the types of ways you can improve it.

The formula looks like this.

SEO (organic traffic) x CRO (% conversion) = Sales/Leads

So the higher your amount of organic traffic and the higher your conversion rate, the more revenue you are going to produce.

If your conversion rate is 0% and you increase your traffic, the amount of revenue or leads you are going to generate at that conversion rate is still going to be zero.

However.

Say you start at 10,000 a month organic traffic and you have a 1% conversion rate.

That’s 100 sales or leads you are generating a month.

However, say after you have implemented the workings of one of my CRO and SEO audits and you are able to increase your organic traffic by 100% and also your conversion rate by 100%.

You now have a website that is generating you the following.

20,000 organic visitors a month and a 2% conversion rate.

You now have a website that is generating 400 leads a month.

That is a 300% increase.

Carrying out SEO and CRO is literally a 1+1 =3 scenario.

What will the SEO Audit Cover?

First off.

I want to tell you absolutely what this SEO audit isn’t.

It’s not an automatic run audit — that I attach my name to and send across to you.

This is not a ‘free’ audit by any means.

If you are looking for a free SEO audit you can head to a bunch of sites like the following:

So sure.

Plug your website in to their search bar and see what you get.

A few ticks? A few crosses? Very top level vague conclusions that really don’t get into the meat of why your website isn’t ranking properly.

I mean, will you get some nice insights into your website? Sure.

Somewhat actionable? Maybe.

However, when it comes to SEO Audits you absolutely get what you pay for.

An SEO audit that I will carry will look at a lot more aspects in a lot more detail.

What I Do

I want to know exactly what you want to get out of the SEO audit.

What’s your objectives? What current issues are you facing?

Then I go ahead and test your website across 200 plus ranking factors (this covers your entire website, fully).

With in-house scripts I’ve built and the latest SEO tools, we can uncover the entire array of what your website is facing and how it compares to competitors.

What you end up with?

Much more than just your standard SEO audit.

Instead.

This is a complete website SEO campaign strategy that you can utilise to go ahead and dominate your niche with.

  • Technical: You will know exactly what to fix from a technical perspective to get your website in tune with how Google crawls your website.
  • On Page: You will now know what content you should be writing, but more importantly ‘why’ you are writing it. Remember those blog posts you used to write that never got any traffic? First, you will understand why they never got any traffic and second you will know exactly what blog posts you need to be writing in order to get traffic.
  • Off Page: You will be provided with a range of strategies for you to attain more backlinks in the future in a completely white hat manner. To improve your rankings going forward.
  • CRO Strategy: Unlike most SEO audits, I will also complete a CRO audit for your site. There’s no point increasing your traffic if your webiste isn’t converting.

Once you have had time to fully process the strategy, we will then arrange a series of calls where you can ask any questions — want more elaboration — want me to expand even further into a particular area.

Sounds good?

Drop me an email to:

seoauditservicesuk@gmail.com

And let’s talk about not only fixing your site but supercharge it.

SEO Audit Details

Here’s exactly what we will cover in the SEO Audit:

Page Speed

Your website speed is a ranking factor. The faster your site, the more likely Google is going to like your site. Google even say so themselves. And it makes sense, no one enjoys waiting around for a website to load. I will test your website speed thoroughly and from that be able to diagnose how to improve your website speed going forward.

If you want to see how fast your website is right now?

You can do so by visiting Google’s Page Speed Insights this will give you a better indication of how much work is needed on your website.

Technical Analysis

Here I will manually cover almost 100 factors that showcases your entire website’s technical set up.

This specifically looks over structured data (which is basically just a language that search engines use to understand more about your website), meta titles & meta descriptions (the audit will show you exactly what these are), response codes and much more.

Basically this involves running your website through software like Deep Crawl and Screaming Frog (you can actually do this yourself).

You can download Screaming Frog here (and it’s free for crawling up to 500 URLS). However, I will then translate what that raw data set actually means.

The complete screaming frog guide for SEO audit technical analysis.

As you can see, it can be quite full on.

Keyword Research & Analysis

Keyword research is perhaps the most fundamental part of SEO to get right. See, it’s great if you get backlinks, write some great content and have a technically sound super site that looks gorgeous.

But if it is set up to target a keyword that i) isn’t targeted towards your website, ii) doesn’t get any traffic or iii) is incredibly competitive.

Then you are facing a HUGE up hill battle.

What this section of the report does, is establishes what you are currently ranking for and what pages do that.

From this, we can carry out further research which will be able to highlight opportunities for you to exploit. This then basically showcases a series of ‘quick wins’ that you can make to improve your rankings, generate more traffic and ultimately make more leads or sales.

Competitor Analysis

This is always a favourite.

On induction you can provide me a list of 3 to 5 of your closest competitors and we will analyse where their strengths and weaknesses are.

We can look at where they are getting backlinks from (and if we can replicate that).

Which keywords they are actually ranking.

Ultimately, we can see what’s working for them (and isn’t) then we can use that to our advantage in the SEO campaign strategy going forward.

Mobile Optimisation

There has been announcement by Google back in mid 2018 that they are prioritising ‘mobile first’.

And it’s really simple as to why.

Go ahead, go into your Google Analytics — and have a look at how many people use your website on mobile compared to desktop.

If you don’t know it, I think you will be pretty surprised at just how many people are using mobile to view your website.

It’s incredibly important to ensure your website is mobile friendly.

You can actually test this yourself right now — with Google’s official mobile friendly test.

How did it do?

If you passed then great! If you didn’t, there’s serious work to be done (because your website will certainly be getting held back).

Content Audit

Here we will be looking at a lot of the On Page SEO elements that we mentioned above.

We want to be looking at how you set up your titles, is it focusing in on keywords? Do you have different pages going for the same keywords?

Do you have a lot of duplicate content across different product pages and service pages?

Have you got enticing meta descriptions? Does your content actually serve the user who is searching?

Are your internal links descriptive?

There’s over 35 factors that we cover on content to ensure it’s completely on point — and that it doesn’t only ‘pass’ to avoid Google penalties (for thin content) but it actually enhances your ranking ability.

Backlink Toxicity Report

This is the Off Page SEO area.

As we mentioned backlinks are great for helping your site going forwards. However, not all backlinks are good.

Some are toxic and spammy — and can actually be doing a lot more harm than good.

And sometimes competitors carry out a practice of ‘negative SEO’ where they will try and get you backlisted by getting your website spammy backlinks.

I’ll carry a link toxicity report and ensure to disavow (this essentially gets rid of) any harmful backlinks that puts your website at risk.

Backlink Strategy

We will also go into a lot of detail.

Of how your website specifically can go about getting new backlinks.

We will talk about the different strategies you can employ to do this and what’s needed.

You will be provided with proven email templates and much more — to ensure you fully understand why you are getting the backlinks and for what purpose.

Then also how to tell if the link you have got is a good and a bad one.

Engagement & User Experience

Ensuring that the user is happy with the website they have visited is a major key behind SEO.

Google is assessing a range of behaviour metrics to understand exactly how a user is interacting with your page and from this they can see if they are enjoying the user experience.

The more positive behaviour points you can send to Google, the better rankings you are going to achieve.

The best way to do that? Is to focus in on user experience.

A great video that looks into the importance of user experience.

Conversion Rate Optimisation Audit

Unlike a lot of SEO audits, my SEO audit also includes a conversion rate optimisation section.

As mentioned, I feel with just an SEO audit you are only getting half the equation.

This CRO audit, is the other half.

We take into account the aspects of user experience further and look to actually how can we improve the website going further to actually result in better improvements.

Like I said above, it really is a 1 + 1 = 3 scenario.

Google My Business Profile

We’ll also analyse your Google My Business profile.

(Especially if you are carrying out local SEO).

Local SEO is anything where you are targeting terms that are close to your city.

So if you are a plumber living in South London.

You want to turn up for “South London Plumber”.

One of the best ways to do that is to get in the map pack (the three results that turn up under a map).

And to do that, you need to optimise your Google My Business profile — if you haven’t got one, I will set one up for you.

If you have, we will carry out a 20 plus point factor checklist against it — to make sure it is optimised as possible.

Plus, recommendations on how to improve it further.

Google Analytics

We will also properly set up your Google Analytics account according to best practices.

Many have their Google Analytics account set up literally how it comes.

Unfortunately, this gives rather inaccurate readings as there is a lot of spam traffic that goes around. We will ensure your account is set up to give you precise measurements.

Google Search Console

This goes for your Google Search console too.

We will manually check all the way through your Google Search console to ensure that everything is fine.

And if you haven’t got either Google Analytics or Google Search console set up for your site, we will set this up for you too.

Who is this SEO Audit for?

This is SEO Audit is perfect for anyone who basically wants to get a lot more out of their website but doesn’t want to pay on going SEO retainers — and wants a bit more of a DIY approach — but would like a layout that they are heading in the right direction.

Ideal for a small to large Ecommerce websites or someone offering local to national services.

What this London based SEO Audit Service isn’t for — is for owners who are looking for a quick easy fix for free.

Ultimately what you get is a personalised SEO strategy guide that needs executing. Whether you execute it by yourself or you might find that you would like me to help you with it — however, it’s not an easy ‘switch’ that will magically work once the audit is complete.

The audit will highlight issues, provide clear solutions — but those solutions need to actually be carried out.

SEO Audit — Case Studies

Here’s a recent London client that started to implement the SEO Audit carried out and has already seen a vast increase in the amount of expected organic traffic they can expect to receive.

A London Ecommerce site that had an SEO audit carried out in the midst of last year and had increasing growth. A recent Google update saw a slight decrease in his organic traffic and a second audit was commissioned for the same time in the following year and traffic has started to once again grow.
