We have a reptilian brain reacting very quick as a survival defense in a dangerous situation or in what our belief corpus thinks as dangerous. It escapes rational mechanism from the cortex. You can change it by modifying your belief corpus or by repeating endlessly the right answer.

The recapitulation is a means to change the past in order to change your present and your future. What you went through is sometimes forgotten and so you have to be in a trance to access it in reality and not to be stuck at the intellectual level like too often psychoanalysis does. The aim here is to change your perception of past events to heal and change your life.
Hypnosis may be a tool like shamanic recapitulation too. In shamanic recapitulation, you go alone in a hut or a shack and you recapitulate all your past to defuse every emotion. As you go backward under more layers, you are able to return to neutral. You don’t want to take karma with you in your soul.
