4 Places to Find Content Ideas
In a world where you constantly have to create content to keep up on social media, it can be overwhelming always having to come up with content for your personal brand or business. Whenever I feel stuck on content ideas for clients these are the 4 places I always find content inspiration.
For You Page & Explore
The best place to pick up some ‘inspo’ for content is on the For You Page (FYP) on TikTok or the Explore page on Instagram. The content on these pages is valuable because most of the posts are usually high performing, so you’ll be able to see the exact type of content that performs well on these platforms. Once you see a post you like, take note of how the post is formatted and try to replicate that format in your own posts.
Industry Hashtags
Searching popular hashtags in your industry is one of my favourite ways to find content ideas. This allows you to see what your target audience is talking about in real-time. You can easily use that information to create content that's relevant to what your audience is interested in.
Competitors
Your competitors can become your biggest inspiration. Take a look at their social media pages and see what they’re posting about and what performs well for them. Don’t steal their content, but instead look for ways you can put your own spin on the same topics they talk about. For instance, if they create a post talking about the disadvantages of something you could make a post about the advantages of the same thing.
Past content
If you’re getting stuck on content ideas going into your insights and seeing what has performed well for you in the past is a good place to start. It gives you a decent idea of what your audience likes to see from you. You can draw inspiration from your old content by repurposing it or updating your opinion on a topic.
