For the committed, read the full journey of the Final Frontier below. Those looking to jump right in can find our short Final Frontier: Quickstart Guide here.

HARNESSING THE FUTURE:

Everything from atomic particles to galactic superclusters function as systems. Intricate layers of rules, laws, and structure built one upon another. The Rocket Factory has been working towards our collective future, each set of decisions on our trans-dimensional journey as a community has given shape to our ultimate landing spot.

We harness the power of our shared faith in the blockchain, unlocking a new dimension, the essence of creation itself, a foundation, a structure within which we build and connect.

On Monday, January 29th, we will arrive at a new dimension, our galaxy awaits.

Behold… The Final Frontier.

THE JOURNEY SO FAR: WE CHOOSE TO TRANSCEND DIMENSIONS

The Rocket Factory is a trans-dimensional manufacturing plant. In Phase I, we created Rockets born on the blockchain, incorporating 30 Brands across 1000 Nose Cones, 1000 Bodies, and 1000 Tail Assemblies, resulting in the potential for 113,500+ unique Rockets. 2,721 Components have been com-burned, producing 907 Rockets to date. 809 Physical Rockets have been assembled, scheduled, launched, and recovered around the globe.

These Digital Rockets and their Physical Twins traveled on a trans-dimensional journey. While the Physical Rockets safely returned to Earth, the Digital Rockets voyaged into the Cosmos, docking with The Mothership.

In Phase II, The Mothership, an interplanetary cargo vessel — the largest spacecraft ever conceived — completed construction in Earth orbit. Rocket Factory Personnel claimed their Tickets and set out on the 9 month journey to Mars. We boldly went in search of Mars Rocks. Upon landing, the community selected their dig sites and claimed Mars Rocks. The Mothership returned to earth with 4,997 Mars Rocks in tow. These Mars Rocks shape the Final Frontier and the future of our Rocket Factory.

TRANSUBSTANTIATION: ROCKS BECOME A GALAXY

The community has always played a pivotal role in our journey. The Rocket Factory set the rules, but community choice shapes the creation of our future. The area of Mars selected for Mars Rock mining, along with Rockets that were assembled to get us there, directly determines the size, shape, and course of the Final Frontier Galaxy.

Mars Rocks hold the power to transcend dimensions and propel us into a new future home for the Rocket Factory. Initially, we sought to transform Mars Rocks into fuel through scientific means like radioactive decay and nuclear bombardment. But, in our pursuit, we discovered Mars Rocks possess potential far beyond what we could ever have imagined. Through the act of Consecration, the declaration of something as a sacred object, we are able Transubstantiate our Mars Rocks into the Worlds we want.

Transubstantiation represents the power of our shared faith in the Blockchain, in our community, and in our craft — harnessing that power opens up new dimensions, and takes us to the Final Frontier. The result…a new Galaxy of worlds for us to inhabit and explore.

INTRODUCING OUR ENCYCLOPEDIA GALACTICA:

We have journeyed across inter-dimensional space, where time and reality itself are twisted, folded, made, and unmade. Finally emerging from our time dilated cryo-stasis; having spent an eternity or perhaps only a short moment in a deep dreamlike state. The Final Frontier, a materialization of all our choices, approaches.

The Final Frontier Galaxy is made up of 1,000 unique Worlds, 209 Star Systems, 8 Space Stations containing thousands of apartments all spread across 8 distinct Galactic Zones.

Mars Rocks are the key to the creation of these hand-made generative Worlds. Each world is different from the other, no two are exactly the same, each one carries its own unique set of traits and rarities.

An Overview of the The Final Frontier Galaxy

THE WORLDS THAT MAKE OUR GALAXY:

A Final Frontier World mirrors the Energy Level of the Mars Rock that leads to its creation. The 3 Planetary Energy Levels are: Alpha++, Alpha+, and Alpha, reflecting the Energy Levels of the Mars Rock collection. Each Energy Level contains 3 World Types. These 9 unique World Types make up the entirety of the 1,000 one-of-a kind terrestrial worlds.

Final Frontier Worlds are mapped out across our Galaxy in 8 distinct Galactic Zones across multiple Star Systems. Each Final Frontier World has been given a unique name based on its location within the different Galactic Zones that make up our Final Frontier Galaxy.

All 1,000 worlds have been cleared for Tokenization by the Secretary of Galactic Administration Chamber of Records. Here is the breakdown!

The Final Frontier Mars Rocks to Worlds Conversion Matrix

ALPHA ++ Worlds: 74 Total

These are worlds similar to our own planet, the rarest type in both our Galaxy and the Universe. These 3 World Types reflect the diversity of environments we would find on oxygen-nitrogen rich planets containing water. These are pristine lands, ready for cultivation.

Water: 27 Worlds

The ocean has forever been pivotal to the development of life and to the progress of humanity, whether sailing the vast waters of the Pacific or the seemingly empty Cosmic oceans filled with radiation. The ability to master the seas and overcome these challenges has pushed us to ever greater heights of technological advancement. A spiritual conquest for fun and profit.

Desert: 26 Worlds

Desert environments are places of civilization and faith. These Worlds elicit similarities to the sand oceans of Arrakis, Joshua Tree Forests of the American Southwest, salt flats, endless dunes, and lush oases. Despite the seemingly barren and lifeless landscapes, the earliest forms of civilization were born and thrived amidst Earth’s deserts. Mars, is a Desert Planet.

Forest: 21 Worlds

Forests are places of mystery, spirituality, and an abundance of biological diversity. Inspired by everything from the dense jungles of Endor to the endless Taiga spanning across Earth’s northern hemisphere. The dangerous primordial nature at the core of all humanity and the untamed Earth of the past.

ALPHA+ Worlds: 410 Total

These are worlds where the limits of creation and civilization have pushed them back in time, or so far forward they are unrecognizable. A truly diverse trio, these are worlds of extremes… of fire… of intervention… of invention.

Artificial: 140 Worlds

What are the extents of civilizational achievement? Some may find themselves able to harness entire suns via a dyson sphere. Clearly, the Galaxy once hosted intelligent life forms that reached the heights of advancement. Creating massive artificially manufactured planets, some are found nestled within existing solar systems, while others sail across interstellar space towards unknown objectives. These vary in design, from attempts to imitate a natural topography to those containing countless cubic steps and trenches. Why they chose to render these in retro graphics may forever remain a mystery.

Post-Civilization: 120 Worlds

These are worlds that were once much like our own, home to species very similar to ours. They even had TVs, refrigerators, plastic bags, tires, and oil barrels. Some may have been engulfed in catastrophic nuclear war, perhaps they were hit by an unsuspecting solar flare. Most likely, they just never learned how to separate their recycling properly.

Volcanic: 150 Worlds

The incredible heat of a slowly encroaching lava river, and the shocking speed and force of a pyroclastic flow have elicited fear from humanity for the entirety of our existence. Yet these same events result in the creation of new land masses, the tectonic movement of continents, and the richest soils found on Earth.

ALPHA Worlds: 516 Total

These are worlds of potential, icy moons of gas giants, moons of rocky planets, or celestial bodies drifting endlessly. Despite the endless hail of solar and cosmic radiation, micro meteor showers, and the vacuum of space; these land masses offer beauty, exploration, and opportunity.

Jovian Moon: 172 Worlds

The Ice Covered moons of Jovian Gas giants offer some of the most incredible views in the Galaxy. Clinging ever closer to their massive host planet, these worlds have a variety of attributes to discover. Heavy gasses can often be found flowing across the surface of these worlds, forming river-like canals, alongside tectonically active lakes boiling up at the surface.

Rocky Moon: 172 Worlds

Rocky and dust covered worlds with little or no atmosphere. Similar to our own Moon or our Martian neighbor these worlds are. Upon closer inspection, strange research equipment and flags have been detected on the surface of some of these worlds.

Comet: 172 Worlds

Lonesome celestial bodies criss-crossing throughout the galaxy; long and extensive tails of debris slowly eating away at their already dwarfed mass. Most cling to the farthest reaches of a solar system, making their home in a given system’s “Kuiper Belt”. While others float through the silent void of interstellar space, outside the safety of a solar oort cloud.

ALL ABOARD THE TRINITÉ

As the Mars Rock Mining Mission was underway, humanity’s next greatest feat of engineering was taking shape. On the dark side of the moon, construction of an inter-dimensional class space station fleet: “the Trinite” continued under complete secrecy. This fleet of Space Stations was specifically built to carry us to the Final Frontier.

Following their voyage across the vastness of inter-dimensional space, each of the 8 Trinité Stations positioned themselves at the heart of their designated Galactic Zone.

The eight Trinité Space Stations traveling to their designated Galactic Zones

These Trinité’s have been designed to function as fully inhabitable Space Stations upon arrival to the Final Frontier Galaxy. They are inspired by Le Corbusier’s Unité d’Habitation blueprints, but tripled in form. They serve as our ingenious solution to the post-industrial housing crises. Embodying the vision of a futuristic metropolis, every room aboard the Trinité follows Corbusier’s wine bottle layout, harmoniously nesting apartments to optimize community resources, while ensuring the utmost comfort and privacy for each resident. Our Stations offer a variety of living quarters for the modern galactic citizen, with ample room for all our Stuff.

APARTMENTS OF THE FUTURE:

The 2 Energy Levels of the Mars Rock Collection Beta and Gamma reflect the Two Types of Floor Plans for Space Station Apartments, One-Bedroom and Studio. Each Floor Plan Type comes in 3 unique Styles. These 6 unique Apartment Types make up the entirety of the 5,666 Space Station Apartments cleared for Tokenization by the Secretary of Galactic Administration Chamber of Records. Here is the breakdown!

The Final Frontier Mars Rocks to Apartments Conversion Matrix

Two Floor Plans: One-Bedroom and Studio Apartments

The 6 Unique Space Station Apartments: 2 Floor-Plans, 3 Styles

Three Apartment Styles:

Corb — Short for Le Corbusier, the architect of the original Unite d’Habitation. Each of these apartments is a painstaking reproduction of the original’s exacting detail, matching the specifications of this revolutionary building. Serving as a tribute to the successes and failures of modernism.

Plywood — A virtual apartment built to Tom Sachs Studio Code. Plywood and Con-Edison construction barriers offer support, and structure for your new home. All the countersunk screw heads laid bare for your inspection.

Steel — The most clean, sterile, and tidy. A dark and cozy atmosphere, perfect for both the modern metropolitan consumer and those seeking a Darth Vader meditation chamber aesthetic.

Note: All apartments are delivered empty however every one of them comes furnished with a period correct Charlotte Perriand kitchenette. Based on ideas for a modern, labor-saving kitchen — developed by household reformers since the late 19th century — Perriand’s design takes things further. The kitchen is modular, with built-in cabinets and advanced features: an electric stove with an oven and fume hood, and a sink with an integrated waste disposal unit. Because the Trinité is designed for a working-class galactic homeowner, an electric refrigerator would be too expensive. However, the icebox is strategically installed to be supplied with ice delivered daily through the “interior street”. Work surfaces and walls are covered with aluminum sheeting to facilitate a clean environment and reduce the effects of cosmic background radiation. These units also offer an innovative “kitchen-bar”, providing integration with the living areas. An open counter with its sliding doors for dishes below allows for a more streamlined space. The Perriand kitchenette is the result of decades of pioneering research and passionate commitment to social housing, mass production, modularity, and harmonious integration of spaces.

Every Space Station Apartment has been assigned a unique address that at a quick glance lets you know which Galactic Zone’s Space Station its aboard, what Type and Style of Apartment it is, and its specific unit number. Making it easy to find and visit your fellow Galactic citizens as you travel across the Final Frontier Galaxy.

GALACTIC ZONES:

The Final Frontier Galaxy is vast, to cut things down to size, we have designed a structure with 8 Galactic Zones. Each Galactic Zone has been designated one of the 8 Trinité Space Stations. These Galactic Zones encapsulate the taxonomy of the human experience that brought us to this new Galaxy. A representation of humanities’ perfect and imperfect sentiment.

Each Final Frontier World and Space Station Apartment is located in one of these 8 Galactic Zones, creating unique Galactic communities for us to build upon. We have assembled a brief introduction to the foundational values of each of these Galactic Zones.

The 8 Galactic Zones, representing a taxonomy of the human experience

GALACTIC ZONE: MYTHOS: (31 Systems, 155 Worlds)

Our Gods, of Classical and Modern times. From Odysseus to Nat Turner. These heroes and anti-heroes embody our desires, ambitions, fears, failures, and triumphs.

GALACTIC ZONE: FAITH: (25 Systems, 120 Worlds)

Faith helps us come to terms with the inevitability of our demise. Are we alone? Where do we come from? What is beyond this life? Faith helps us come to terms with these unanswerable questions.

GALACTIC ZONE: DISCOVERY: (23 Systems, 116 Worlds)

Explorers take us to new worlds and new dimensions of understanding. Discovery is the motivation of every explorer.

GALACTIC ZONE: FEELINGS: (26 Systems, 124 Worlds)

Feelings are what separate our human intelligence from artificial intelligence. Feelings can not be bought, sold, or faked. Feelings are the truest dimension of the Galaxy that is our Spirit.

GALACTIC ZONE: ELEMENTS: (26 Systems, 118 Worlds)

There are currently 118 Confirmed Elements. All of them are fundamental to life and the things that support life. Chemistry is the same everywhere, a universal constant. No matter how far we travel, an atom with a single electron will always exist and function as the Hydrogen we know on Earth. “The nitrogen in our DNA, the calcium in our teeth, the iron in our blood, the carbon in our apple pies were made in the interiors of collapsing stars. We are made of starstuff.” — Carl Sagan

GALACTIC ZONE: FOOD: (27 Systems, 125 Worlds)

Food is the stuff that sustains us, here are some of our favorite Foods.

Gnocchi, Noodle, Gruel, Taco, Cherry Pie, Chimichanga, Buttercup, Milkshake, Peanut Butter, Bacon, Gorgonzola, Babaganoush, Bubblegum, Bologna, Side Salad, Schnitzel, Pistachio, Cornholio, Jerk, Spam, Nacho, Meatball, Cake, Lasagna, Jalapeño, Chalupa, Hamburger, Sausage, Sprinkle, Creampie, Truffle, Biscuit, Banana, Ritzeo, Lollipop, Dumpling, Pineapple, Chili, Jellybean, Turducken, Pizza, Ortolan, Tater Tot, Steak, Tiramisu, Kimchi, Candy, Bagel, Queso, Coconut, Chianti, Chili, Chocolate, Chorizo, Chowder, ChumChum, Cinnamon, Clementine, Coconut, Cookie, Creampie, Croissant, Crouton, Cupcake, Donut, Dumpling, Eggplant, Escargot, Fava, Fudge, Goulash, Grits, Guacamole, Gumbo, Habanero, Ham, Honey, Hot dog, Jelly, Jellybean, Kimchi, Liver, Lollipop, Macaroni, Mango, Martini, Matzo Ball, Meatloaf, Merlot, Muffin, Mushroom, Nut, Ortolan, Oyster, Pancake, Papaya, Peach, Pepperoni, Pickle, Pineapple, Pizza, Plum, Poutine, Pudding, Queso, Ramen, Ritzeo, Sausage, Shiitake, Spaghetti, Spinach, Sprinkle, Steak, Tamale, Tater Tot, Teriyaki, Tiramisu, Toro, Truffle, Turducken, Wagyu, Walnut, Wasabi, Weenus, Zucchini.

GALACTIC ZONE: FAUNA: (25 Systems, 121 Worlds)

All of these animals represent the different aspects of the human experience. From killer bees to a puppy. From anthropomorphised depictions of animals in children’s cartoons, to the zoomorphism of ancient deities; the human condition pushes us towards a deeper connection with these creatures. We love animals, and some are also delicious.

GALACTIC ZONE: JUNKYARD: (25 Systems, 121 Worlds)

Junkyard is everything else, it’s the aggregate of all things beyond our taxonomy yet dear to our souls. From Asbestos to Logjam and Antifreeze, you never know what you might find in the Junkyard.

HOW TO MINT THE FINAL FRONTIER:

Now that we have covered the foundational elements that make up the Final Frontier Galaxy, here is a look at how you can mint your place into its future.

Final Frontier Certificate Tokens represent ownership in digital space of the Final Frontier Galaxy. There are two kinds of Final Frontier Certificate Tokens available for Mint.

Planetary Certificate Tokens: these represent ownership of a unique Final Frontier World (1000 Total)

Space Station Certificate Tokens: these represent ownership of a Final Frontier Apartment (5,666 Total)

Each Final Frontier Certificate Token is a unique ERC 721, and authenticates access, control, and ownership of its corresponding Digital Space.

There will be 3 different ways to mint the Final Frontier Certificate Tokens.

Mint Using Mars Rocks: January 29th to February 7th 11:59PM ET on the Rocket Factory website. (.05 ETH + Gas)

Mint Using TSRF IDs: January 29th to February 7th 11:59PM ET on the Rocket Factory website. (.05 ETH + Gas)

Public Mint: February 8th on the Rocket Factory website. (.08 ETH + Gas)

The exact time of the Mint will be announced on our Discord and X channel, follow @tsrocketfactory to keep up to date.

Once a Final Frontier Certificate Token is Minted, the Final Frontier Certificate Token will be immediately visible in your wallet and your TSRF Hanger on the Rocket Factory website.

Digital Spaces that correspond with each Final Frontier Certificate Token will be revealed and accessible for you to visit on February 8th, the exact time will be announced on all Rocket Factory socials.

Minting using a Mars Rocks of TSRF ID? No rush, conserve gas. You will have a 10 Day window from January 29th to February 7th 11:59PM ET to mint, and your Mars Rock or TSRF ID has already pre-reserved a specific Certificate Token for you, no risk of missing out as long as you mint within the 10 Day window.

Read the full mechanics for each of the 3 mints below.

Minting Using Mars Rocks:

When a Mars Rock Token is used to Mint a Final Frontier Certificate Token, the Mars Rock Token is not lost or burned but transformed into a new ERC 1155 Token. Mars Rocks that are used to Mint a Final Frontier Certificate will be marked as Consecrated by the Secretary of Galactic Administration Chamber of Records meaning it has been used to Mint a world and can no longer be used again. A Consecrated Mars Rock lives on as a talisman in your wallet, a reminder of the journey its been on, its powers used up and harnessed.

A Mars Rock that has not been transformed yet, it can be used to mint a Certificate Token.
A representation of a consecrated Mars Rock that can no longer be used to mint a certificate token.

The Mars Rock collection is the foundation of the Final Frontier Galaxy. Each Mars Rock Token has been assigned a specific Final Frontier Certificate Token and Digital Space.

Minting with a Mars Rock Token will guarantee a specific type of Final Frontier Certificate Token, let’s cover which Mars Rocks turn into which Final Frontier Certificate Tokens:

Conversion Matrix showing which Mars Rock Token turns into which Final Frontier Certificate Token

Minting a Final Frontier Certificate Token by Consecrating a Mars Rock Token will cost .05 ETH + Gas.

During a Mint window from January 29th to February 7th on the Rocket Factory website.

The exact time of the Mint will be announced on our Discord and X channel, follow @tsrocketfactory to keep up to date.

Minting Using Your TSRF ID:

If you received a TSRF ID at NFTParis or NFTNYC, claim your TSRF ID Token into your Wallet to secure your reserved space. To do this, simply tap your physical ID to the top of your phone with NFC chip reading enabled in your settings.

TSRF ID Holders are also able to Mint the Final Frontier Certificate Tokens reserved for them during the same Mint window from Monday January 29th to Wednesday February 7th. To Mint a reserved Final Frontier Certificate Token with a TSRF ID visit the Rocket Factory website once the mint window is open. The Mint price for TSRF ID reserved spaces will be .05 ETH + Gas.

NOTE: After this period, a snapshot of TSRF ID Tokens will be taken. If you are an “Aristocrat” or “Sovereign” who has not Minted their reserved space, you will have your TSRF ID Token downgraded to “Visitor” Status. Physical IDs no longer matching their Token counterparts will be considered null and void, and listed for destruction on sight by the Secretary for Galactic Administration Chamber of Records.

The Public Mint

The Public Mint for Final Frontier Certificate Tokens will take place shortly after the close of the Mars Rock and TSRF ID Mint period, on Thursday February 8th.

All Final Frontier Certificate Tokens that remain un-minted after the Mars Rock and TSRF ID Mint period has ended will be available for Public Mint on the Rocket Factory website for a Mint price of 0.08 Eth + gas fees.

Final Frontier Certificate Tokens will be Minted randomly during the Public Mint, the potential to Mint anything from a World to an Apartment exists. It’s a grab bag, first come first serve, best of luck to all!

ABOUT TOM SACHS:

Tom Sachs (b. 1966) is an American contemporary artist, and bricoleur (handyman) working in New York City. Sachs’ genre defying mixed media sculptures, often recreations of modern icons using everyday materials, show all of the work that goes into producing an object — a reversal of modernization’s trend towards products with cleaner, simpler, and more perfect edges. Sachs’s sculptures are conspicuously handmade; lovingly cobbled together from plywood, resin, steel, and ceramic. The scars and imperfections in the sculptures tell the story of how it came into being and remove it from the realm of miraculous conception.

He has done major collaborations with brands like Nike, which have realized a number of innovative products and U.S. utility patents. Major art exhibitions include the Space Program, a demonstration of all that is necessary for survival, scientific exploration, resource harvesting, and colonization in extraterrestrial environments. His works are held in museum collections around the world, including the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Museum of Modern Art — New York, the Centre Georges Pompidou — Paris, Metropolitan Museum of Art — New York, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Astrup Fearnley Museet for Moderne Kunst — Oslo, Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
