Astral crystals (when used on a breed increases the rarity of its offspring) are the greatest resource in the WoE universe, and fittingly, there is only a limited amount to be obtained.

This amount is reflected on the crystal page, and once gone, Astral crystals will no longer be produced by the World of Ether.

This means the only way to get an Astral crystal, once all are gone, will be from other players as the crystals are ERC20 tokens.

This also means that once all crystals are gone, players will not be able to obtain them from battling at level 50, from being an egg purchaser, or from buying Anti-Matter.

Once an Astral crystal is used, it will also disappear from the universe, never to be obtained again, and the amount of Astral crystals will forever decrease.

The Other Crystals

There are also four other ERC20 crystals that can be gotten through Anti-Matter:

The Sun crystal — Can be redeemed for 1 breed. Sun crystals come in pairs.

The Ocean crystal — Changes the gender of an Etherian. Can be used more than once.

The Life crystal — Reduces the age of an Etherian by one while also allowing it to breed immediately.

The Death crystal — Sacrifice 3 Etherians to get an egg, with the Etherian inside the egg not being decided upon until the player is ready.

Unlike the Astral crystal these four crystals can occur indefinitely, though the more powerful ones are harder to obtain than the rest.

Get Crystals

UPDATE: Anti-Matter is no longer in the universe.

The only ways to get crystals are from other players, or in-game from battling at maximum level (more here).
