Not Again…

It’s 1:15am and I’m stoned off my ass and slouching on a sticky leather couch in an apartment building somewhere in West Hollywood. I hate this town and I’m counting the seconds until I can get back to sleepy Pacific Grove a couple hundred miles north.

Moving and Standing Still

He chose under as I chose over pretty much at the exact same moment. His slender frame slid effortlessly through the bannister, and landed in full stride on the other side. I came crashing over a millisecond behind gaining on him.
