A Cup of Chai (Tea) and Movies: The Perfect Pairing……

I know there’s no real combination between these two things, but it makes for an amazing time if they come together. If I sit down to watch a movie, I must have at least two cups of tea. That’s because drinking tea helps me understand the movie even better.
I watch movies with subtitles, especially if it’s a foreign-language film. Subtitles often miss something here or there, so you have to watch the movie with full focus. And if tea is added to the mix, the mind works even sharper.
These days, I don’t know why, but I’ve become obsessed with watching Persian cinema, and it’s even tougher to understand, so I have to pay close attention to the subtitles. Just yesterday, I watched Asghar Farhadi’s movie A Separation, and it was outstanding. I was amazed by how someone could write such an incredible screenplay from such a simple story and create such an engaging movie.
The more I thought about it, the more fascinated I became by how Farhadi crafted A Separation. The film was like a puzzle…
