I remember in school we used to write “My Self” to introduce ourselves, and that was mainly about the fact that I am a girl, and red is my favorite color. But today I want to add more to that introduction. I am a PhD scholar now and pursuing my dream of research that satisfies my inquisitive nature of finding answers to every question.
Bioinformatics has always been my major, and the interdisciplinary nature of this field just made me keep going. There is always something that needs to be explored, like a single mutation, which can be researched in many ways. It can be tested for its lethal nature, evolutionary perspective, metabolic response, pathways related to it, and much more. To get answers to these, there are various online tools and databases that are designated for individual tasks. My research is mainly focused on using those tools and databases to identify the target gene, therapeutics, or propose a solution. Specifically, my research is targeted towards transcriptomics, genomics, machine learning, AI, drug designing, computational biology, biomarker design, gene expression, and a few others, which I will be sharing in up-coming blogs.
