Short version:

  • female; mid-thirties
  • living in the wilderness 🌲 with her best friend/partner + 1 dog + 1 cat
  • counselor (of mental health) (& formerly at a camp)
  • quite good at small talk (Gemini rising) & keeping my truth well covered (Scorpio sun)

Thanks for clicking on my post!

I kinda struggled with a long-form About Me submission. I’ve decided to go for a free flow / jot-note version of what I feel most describes me (these days).

🌊 I hope you enjoy it!

Here are some things I know for sure about myself:

  • I really enjoy taking lavish baths. My favorite find so far has been Coconut Milk Bath by Herbivore. Any suggestions? I’d love to hear ‘em.
  • My greatest heartbreak has been losing my beloved dog of 9 years, Viña del Mar (the silliest, most loving gal in the whole wide world).

  • As a kid, I wanted to own a bed & breakfast. I noticed how much time the adults spent at work & I wanted my work to be at home, with a scone & teapot nearby.
  • I spent 11 years in an unhealthy relationship & found spirituality/personal growth to climb my way out of it.
  • I live in an oasis-like setting (a waterfront cabin nestled in the middle of hundreds of acres of Canadiana wilderness).

  • Some days it’s isolating.
  • I have three best friends who I met in Grade Three. They are literal earth angels. They’ve offered a consistency in my life that’s unmatched & is a lifeline.
  • My partner Geoff is also sent from the heavens. He’s the oldest soul I’ve ever known. You can find him at the post office chatting with fellow 70-year-olds about the price of gas.

  • I recently met some of my SoulFam (official term) through an intuitive reading by Jessa Reed. I’ve journeyed & jumped timelines through many lifetimes with these dear friends. ✨
  • My days are spent supporting clients (mostly virtually); watering plants; tidying up; cooking meals; hiking; taking baths; walking our dog Prince; practicing yoga; kayaking; snowshoeing; hanging in the loft of our a-frame; making fires; sitting in saunas; bird watching, etc. Back to basics are my words to live by.
  • Mother Nature is my greatest teacher. Check out her magic:

  • I’m curious about showing up on Medium consistently & intuitively. I recognize there is a certain way of doing things here — but I’m aiming to maintain my passion while finding where I fit.
  • I’m a singer & am declaring that I’d like to sing again publicly! (*yikes*) There’s a lot to unpack from a strict music school background (picture ‘Glee’ before it was cool 🎵🤓).
  • I’m grateful for humans — like you (& that person next to you!). Do you think we’ll get to know more about this being alive thing? I hope so. It keeps me going.
