About Me — Anita Osasona
Resilient Fashionista. Daughter of Struggle. Weaving stories of empowerment and growth in the fashion world.
Hey there, lovely souls! I’m Anita, and if life were a fabric, mine would be woven with threads of resilience, passion, and adventure. I was born in the vibrant streets of Lagos, Nigeria, back in April 1991. Growing up, life wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows. With just one brother by my side, we navigated through the ups and downs, often struggling to make ends meet. Money was tight, but our spirits were high, thanks to the unstoppable force that was my mom. From cooking up a storm in the kitchen to running her own hotel, she was a woman of many talents. But it was her mastery behind the sewing machine that truly captivated me. Watching her work her magic ignited a spark within me.
But life had other plans.
Despite my passion for fashion, I found myself pursuing a biochemistry degree at a university known more for its wild parties and secret cults than its academic prowess. But, amidst the chaos of university life, my love affair with fashion continued to bloom. I sought out a local tailor for some hands-on training, and let me tell you, I became intimately acquainted with more needles than I care to admit! It was tough, balancing studies with improving my sewing skills…
