About Me — Bonnie Joy Sludikoff
Creating healthy conversations about challenging topics…and sometimes bursting into song
Hello Medium! If this is your first intro to me, my name is Bonnie Joy Sludikoff. I don’t actually go by Bonnie Joy, but I have an awesome middle name, so I tend to use it when I have the opportunity. I’ve also contemplated publishing my first novel with the name Bonnie J. Sludikoff because there’s just something about a strong middle initial.
I’m an LA-based writer, performer, and activist. About a decade ago, I created a campaign called That’s What She Didn’t Say with a mission statement of creating healthy conversations about challenging topics; this is the statement that leads most of what I put into the world! I also created a local theatre festival with the same mission called the Outdoor Voices Festival where I gather artists who have produced live shows that are on the same mission.
I used to be an a Capella caroler at Disneyland and it’s been hard to top that job, but writing brings me a lot of joy as well. I also spent the last 3.5 years as a nanny until the family moved away. (Just an hour, but it may as well be three…)
