There’s a term from figure skating that fits my writing life surprisingly well: Pflicht & Kür. The Pflicht is the compulsory part—the set figures, the required elements, the things you must do because someone else decided the rules. The Kür is the free program—the part where you move from your own impulse, your own creativity, and your own inner fire.

Over the past days, you may have noticed something unusual in my writing. Suddenly I’m publishing pieces that are more personal, more intimate, and more reflective than my usual explainer mode, Psychology, Neuroscience, KI & Humanity, or my Do‑Ability Series.

And here’s why.

The Pflicht: Writing Challenges with Prompts and Rules

I’ve recently stepped into several writing challenges hosted by small publications. They give you a prompt, a theme, a constraint, and sometimes even a word limit. These are topics I would never choose on my own. Not because they’re bad—but because they simply don’t live in my natural creative ecosystem.

These challenge pieces are my Pflicht:

I follow the prompt.
I accept the constraint.
I write inside someone else’s frame.
I let myself be guided instead of leading.

It’s a discipline. A training. A stretch. A way to explore corners of myself I normally don’t visit.

And yes—it means you get to see sides of me that are usually not part of my public voice.

The Kür: My Own Impulse, My Own Direction

My Kür is everything that comes from my own inner movement:

my intuitive essays
my future‑sense reflections
my KI‑related explorations
my deeper psychological insights
my creative states and hypnagogic moments
my long‑form conceptual pieces
my personal philosophy

The Kür is where I’m free. Where I follow my own rhythm. Where I write what I want, not what I’m asked to write.

It’s my natural home.

Why I’m Letting You See Both

I believe heroes shouldn’t be perfect, distant, or untouchable.

Real courage is being human, being relatable, being visible in your imperfections.

Not a polished TikTok doll.
Not an influencer mask.
Not a curated persona.
