Love as my compass — a writer’s journey begins
I always believed that life gives us the answers we’re looking for, though sometimes in an unexpected way. Growing up, I was an outgoing and friendly kid who loved nothing more than socializing, sharing stories, scribbling down my thoughts, and expressing myself through words. Yet like many others, I took the safe path by studying microbiology and diving into the world of lab research, an environment that is, quite literally, closed off.
As a fresh graduate, I found myself at a crossroads. My degree in microbiology had given me so much knowledge, but as I stepped into my internships and job roles, I felt strangely out of place. The closed lab environment felt limiting for someone who had always thrived on interactions and expressions. My love for writing, something that had stayed with me since childhood, kept calling me back. It felt like that one part of my soul that couldn’t be contained. But writing as a career? That seemed like a dream too big to hold.
Then, just as the doubts were settling in, someone entered my life who became a mirror to my own potential. The love of my life, ‘Kavi.’ We envisioned a future together, one uniquely ours, yet beyond anything I could have dreamed of alone.
