Who I am, how did I start — everything, about me, raw and unedited.
The Beginning
Everyone has a story, and naturally this is mine. Born in a middle class household in Ludhiana, a small town in Punjab (India), I grew up with ambition and passion in my heart.
I have been a close witness of the life of my father, who started his entrepreneurship journey after I was born. Hailing from a modest and humble background, he expanded and grew his business into a multi-faceted conglomerate, and soon we found our way into the city’s elite. My family prefers to keep things low-key, but my parents live in a five-thousand square feet bungalow, so to say.
From my father, I learned about upgrading your skills frequently, learning new things as and when you get a chance, and never being satisfied in life.
Satisfaction is the harbinger of steadiness and laziness in life, he said. Once you are satisfied, you are no longer motivated to achieve anything. Hunger, on the other hand will keep you going. My father never ate even one of his meals, to his complete satisfaction. He still doesn’t. I think that is his way of reminding himself that there is still a lot to do, a lot to learn and a lot to achieve.
