About Me — Noah Nelson
A small town kid just living the dream.
Hi everyone!
My name is Noah Nelson and I am from the small town of Taylorville, located smack dab in the middle of Illinois. Currently, I am a junior at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign majoring in journalism with minors in political science and history. Outside of the classroom, I serve as a senior columnist for the school’s student newspaper The Daily Illini, a member of Block I and Orange Krush, the football and basketball fan clubs respectively, Star Course Concert Committee, Champaign Chapter of Society of Professional Journalists and a writer on Medium.com.
My Medium Story
I discovered Medium less than two months ago. Every time I looked up how to do better in college or find various writing tips, I always landed upon a Medium article. Once I learned I could use the site to sharpen my writing skills, network with fellow writers and editors and make a little extra money on the side, I was hooked.
Since then, I have written over 100 articles on a variety of topics including life, college life, writing, reading, success, business, money and Medium itself. I have enjoyed every minute of Medium, and I don’t know where I would be without it today.
