Hi, my people. My name is Skyfallgirl—or rather, you can call me Mrs A. I’m 31 years old, a proud wife, and a mother to the most beautiful boy born in March last year. But behind these titles lies a story—one filled with pain, resilience, and ultimately, healing. So, come closer; let me gist you.

A Life That Looked Perfect

I grew up in a home where everything seemed picture-perfect—or so I thought. My dad, a clergyman and principal, had high expectations for me. Being “Nwa Teacher” was a full-time job. I was smart, excelling in school, even seeing my sculpture displayed at the gate. But underneath the accolades was a girl weighed down by constant pressure. Life wasn’t as rosy as it looked.

Dealing with constant pressure not to disappoint and disgrace them was tough. Yes, I might be intelligent — I’d like to think so — but the pressure for excellence, with my father as both my lesson teacher and pastor, was overwhelming. Sigh.

When I was just 10, my world shattered. I came home from school one day to find my mum crying. My dad—my teacher, pastor, and hero—was gone. That loss? It shaped me in ways I never saw coming.

By then, I was in secondary school, and my grades plummeted. I became a hot mess, stubborn to everyone around me. You might think you understand where I’m going, but at that time, I thought I did too.

Boy was I wrong ??

When Darkness Came

Fast forward to a Christmas Eve I’ll never forget. At 16, just as I was stepping into the world as a polytechnic student, tragedy struck my family. It was a moment that left me shaken and filled with questions. (writing this I still feel the shivers and fear) I was raped multiple times, losing my innocence in the most cruel way possible.

After that, I was angry—at God, at life, at everything. I felt abandoned, like the daughter of a clergyman shouldn’t suffer like this. And instead of healing, I spiraled. I lost myself completely, drowning in guilt and self-doubt.

I became a dull shadow of the once “intelligent” Nwa Teacher everyone praised. My mum and brother prayed tirelessly for me because I was struggling to find my way back.

The Turning Point

But you know how God works—He doesn’t abandon His own. Slowly, He picked me up from the mess I had made of myself. I began to reclaim my life, one prayer at a time.

Marriage came as another form of healing. My husband, my safe haven, has shown me what love and patience look like. Together, we’re building a relationship based on trust, understanding, and growth.

Then came my son, the light of my life. You see, I hated my nose growing up—chai! It was my biggest insecurity. But my son, with his tiny face and perfect little nose (just like mine), changed my perspective. What I once called ugly is now beautiful, and it’s all because of him.

In 2021 , I took up writing full time and my book Gemini won an international award in the werewolf category on FASYNOVEL. Yay

Now I am a published Author , a business owner and a content creator … Loving the Lord one day at a time .

Why I’m Sharing This

My story is not just about pain; it’s about hope. It’s about seeing God turn ashes into beauty. To every woman who’s been hurt, to anyone who feels lost or unworthy—know this: you are not alone.

In my other stories—“I Am Ugly” and “I Still Feel The Pain”—I shared how I dealt with insecurities and finding love after difficult times. These stories aren’t just mine; they’re for anyone fighting to find themselves again.
