I Drank the Drexel Koolaid

Note- my experience of Drexel is from 2016–2020 (undergraduate) and 2021–2022 (graduate).

Drexel University is a really good school. But it is not for everybody.

I used to work as a Senior Dean’s Ambassador for the College of Computer and Informatics. I was one of the students that prospective students and parents would talk to on open house days. I would say to both students and parents, “Drexel is a great university! It has a lot to offer students. We would love to have you, but it is not for everyone.”

The 10-week sprints are hard for the weak mind or undisciplined. Ambition truly cannot wait. However, I have seen all kinds of people succeed at Drexel. You don’t need to be a Type-A student (like me) to walk away from Drexel successfully.

While no university is perfect, and Drexel is definitely no exception, here are some things I think Drexel does right.

1. The Co-op
