I Quit My Job For Solopreneurship — 6 Months Insights
The hardest battle has been won, it is now a matter of time
Today marks my 6 months anniversary of jumping into self-employment. I resigned abruptly when I completely lost meaning in what I was doing. You can read it here.
So what is the situation 6 months into taking my coaching business full-time? I wish I could tell you it is all peaches and roses.
But we all know that is not how it works. I have read so many articles on how people made more in 6 months of entrepreneurship than what they were earning in their previous jobs.
It was so motivational but sadly that did not happen to me. Let’s dig into the cons and problems first.
Six months facts
- I am currently earning 1/5th of my salary, I have a few clients that I love working with but it does not pay the bills.
- I am digging into my savings and will probably look for something part-time soon
- People I thought were friends turned out to be just acquaintances
- People I have recently met have become friends and provided more support than I expected
- I have found what I want to do for the rest of my life
