As an educator, I have witnessed the tragic loss of two students of mine.

The impact it had on their families and the void it left in my heart was profound.

Yesterday, I participated in the funeral of one of my favorite students, Brayden, who bravely fought cancer.

Brayden had a special love for apples, often eating them during our Zoom lessons, so I bought and planted an apple tree in his memory.

Since his passing on May 28, 2024, my daily three-mile walks have turned into walking meditations.
