Every family has its secrets, that much is known. But I had no idea that I would soon find myself in a South American telenovela.

It all started four years ago, an unexpected call told me that my grandmother was not answering the intercom at home. I went to the place and found my grandmother inside the house on the floor with her face pale and confused from having fallen and hit her head.

We called for help, among other worries there were family members who, instead of hoping my grandmother would recover, only thought of one thing, the inheritance. I honestly never gave a damn about my grandmother’s inheritance, whatever she had.

The days passed, my grandmother fortunately recovered and went home, but she couldn’t walk for quite a while. She was always in bed and we had to take care of her.

My grandfather died when I was still small, I don’t remember but they told me he died a few months after I was born. I only saw him in pictures, a normal grandfather with white hair.

”I loved him and he loved me, I never thought of any other man but him. He was my first and last love, I will never forget him.”
