It was a good Friday. The sun was out and the annual Tulip festival in Mount Vernon, Washington just kicked off for the month of April.

My family and I have made this an annual event for us to venture out to the tulips ever since we have moved to Washington.

Going on the weekends but it is very busy spending most of the time in traffic just to get into the parking lot not including the lines to walk in.

This year we decided to go on a Friday hoping to avoid too much of a crowd.

Tulips are a must see for anyone visiting Washington when they are in season. There a lot of different farms to experience the Tulip festival in Mount Vernon but my favorite place to go is the Roozengaarde farm.

Exploring the northern part of Washington shows a different side with less city and more nature showcasing the Evergreen state.

Seeing vast amount of trees I feel more calmer releasing all my anxiety as I get the oxygen overload!

Getting away from the city it feels much more intimate.

Finding the best tiny coffee shops creating friendships and supporting the local mom and pop shops are the best parts.
