At the end of 2018 we laid out the priorities for 2019, as well as an update on all that has been accomplished in 2018. You can read all of those updates here.

In this update we’re going to share the progress being made against the goals outlined in the 2018 post, so please take a look at it to find out what we’ve accomplished in the past year.

But, before we score ourselves on progress against our three main goals for 2019, here is a quick update on the status of the key areas of the project and a quick note from Jon.

Jon (CEO) Outlook:

Although the market is disappointing at this time, I have never been more optimistic about the future. BLADE is set to build on the existing adbank tech to create a world for digital advertising that does not exist. We’ve already revealed quite a bit in the BLADE announcement here, but stay tuned because there is so much more to be revealed about BLADE soon!

Our goals are: rewarding the end user, putting the end user in control of their own experience, and having impressions we can verify are fraud free. This was initially only a vision in the whitepaper, but we have been making huge progress towards achieving it!

We are very excited to be sharing more details around BLADE and how everyone will be able to benefit while we revolutionize digital advertising.

Key Areas of Business Activity, Quick Update:

Tech:

  • All BLADE stories have been estimated, planned, and the sprints are queued up. The first development effort is underway.
  • Effort is now shifting on the development side from the ad network development to the BLADE extension.

Team:

Financial / Runway:

  • As shared in the AMA’s there are many variables that the adbank team can shift that other projects can’t. The biggest variable is that our product is live and we are pushing its adoption through the adbank-owned ad networks, and we are generating revenue. We are still losing money (and plan to continue to do so) but we have the ability to shift resources and people as it makes sense. Our runway model (with still many variables at play) has us operating into 2021.
  • We are Canadian and know how to survive the winter!

Sales & Marketing:

Progress Against Core Objectives Update:

1. Objective — BLADE adoption — adbank ad block extension that allows only adbank powered ads through, while rewarding you for viewing those ads!

  • 1a. Key Result — #1 ad block/reward extension used by the crypto community. Attracting many users and a dominant presence within the crypto community especially!
  • January Update — Good month with very thoroughly vetted user stories and our next development sprints ready to go.

2. Objective — Pilots, Pilots, Pilots — Our pipeline has never been more full and we are bringing on additional team members to help handle the increase!

  • 2a. Key Result — Consistent monthly pilots similar to the Austria & Red Bull pilot, growing to several per month.
  • January Update — Decent month in terms of setting us up for success with the Demand Generation service and Mike Bishop coming on board. The December 15th to January 15th slow period for sales has proven to be true, but we are looking forward to following through on the many calls booked for the end of January.

3. Objective — Utility driven by operating AdNetworks (Signed agreement to bring some of the largest crypto publishers inventory available on IntergalacticAds.com)

  • 3a. Key Result — IntergalacticAds.com and other vertical ad networks #1 or #2 by market share in their verticals.
  • January Update — ECig media migration continues on schedule and the growth of the display advertising side of the business since switching to adbank has been solid. IntergalacticAds has struggled as you can imagine given the current climate for ICO’s.
